HAL is the short form of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited. Many candidates are invited to fill in the vacancies which crop up every year and, anybody looking for a great state level job opportunity should fill in for this exam, where a selected candidate is posted in branch and regional offices around India. Management Trainees with HAL are called MTs and it is a very coveted post to get filled in. Management Trainees are filled in from the backgrounds such as Mechanical, Electrical, Aeronautical and many more.

EXAM PATTERN FOR HAL MANAGEMENT TRAINEE :-

  • The exam is divided into a total of three sections.
  • The mode of exam is online and, the duration to complete the exam is 2 hours and 30 minutes.
  • The final selection of a candidate is based on a combination of marks of the online test and the interview.
  • The three sections to answer in an exam are – general awareness, english and logical reasoning and, questions from the specialisation ( graduate degree subject )
  • A total of 160 questions are asked in the exam.
  • 20 questions are asked in the general awareness section. 40 questions are asked in English and Logical Reasoning section.
  • The most questions – 100 questions – are asked in the specialisation section.
  • Every candidate should prepare extremely well for the interview as, it also matters alot and shows the right confidence in a candidate for a worthy post.

SYLLABUS FOR THE HAL MANAGEMENT EXAM :-

Syllabus for two sections such as General Awareness and English & Logical Reasoning section are same for all students. The syllabus and questions of the third section differs from candidate to candidate.

The questions in the General Awareness section cater to the topics such as  –  Current affairs, Indian History, Indian politics, International and National agendas of interest and many more.

The questions in the Logical Reasoning and English section cater to topics such as –  articles, grammar, idioms, synonyms and antonyms and many more. Questions for Logical and Reasoning section cater to riddles, series, coding decoding, patterns and many more.

The questions in the Specialization section cater to the graduate course of the candidate, chosen by him itself, mostly Engineering. This specific syllabus can be downloaded from the official website of HAL.
