Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Monday at the memorial service ceremony of the 90th anniversary of the Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) launched the financial literary cell of the college called Vittshala. While disclose the Vittshala logo designed on the importance of financial formation in the country, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley glorified the college and its students for identifying the importance of financial formation.

The vice-chancellor of the Delhi University, Yogesh Tyagi, who attended the event, worshiped the systematic action of the SRCC. Vittshala is a financial literacy cell set up by SRCC and also a Centre for Community Engagement with special concentration on management of financial resources through decentralize communication. Founded by a group of teachers and students under the verdant supervision of Anil Kumar, a senior faculty of SRCC, Vittshala will uphold its objectives by conducting workshops, seminars, discussion and community engagement. The primary objective of this initiative is to promote financial literacy and identifying the expectation of banking, insurance, savings, and investments. It is acknowledged that the student interns with Vitthala are being trained by experts and senior officials from the State Bank of India, Life Insurance Corporation of India, and Agriculture Insurance Company Of India Ltd.

Bihar Gang leaked NEET question papers, besides SSC, UPSC and other government question papers

Bihar-based gang involved in leaking paper. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) successfully conducted the NEET Phase II examination on July 24, whereas NEET I was held on May 1.There were reports about paper leak but the CBSE later refused the claims and said it was an attempt made by some dishonest elements to cheat the candidates on false promises. As per reports, a appeal was also filled in the Supreme Court regarding the re-test for the NEET Phase 2 examination. Later on, SC rejected the appeal for inquiry into NEET leak. Recently, reports claimed that Bihar-based gang involved in leaking papers of top government jobs question papers had even tried to leak the question papers of CBSE NEET. In order to control leak of other question papers, vigilance officials are expected to cancel the Punjab water resources development board recruitment examination which is scheduled to be conducted by Thapar University, Patiala.

Good number of toppers of the Cambridge International Examination (CIE) 2015 and 2016 are from the city schools

The city schools in India have been performing exceptionally well at global level when compared with other schools across the country. A good number of toppers of the Cambridge International Examination (CIE) 2015 and 2016 are from the city schools. Of the exceptional city schools, Mumbai boast a huge proportion of achievers in the latest Cambridge International Examination result.”The outstanding results in the CIE are a proof of the dedication and commitment of the teachers and the constant selfless support from the students’ families and friends,” said Ruchira Ghosh, Regional Director of South Asia, CIE. 22 students from India made it to world toppers list in individual subjects in the Cambridge International Examination, November 2015. Of the 22 from India, nine toppers were from Mumbai.The numbers of the world toppers have just doubled this year. As many as 41 toppers from India made it to world toppers list this year in the Cambridge International Examination conducted in March and June 2016. Of the 41 toppers from India, nearly half are from the Mumbai.
