Birla Institute of Technology & Science (BITS, Pilani) is one of the deemed universities in India which offers a performance-based test BITSAT (Birla Institute of Technology & Science Aptitude Test) for the students who wish to apply for the B.Tech, B.Pharma, and MSc programmes.

BITSAT is a CBT (Computer based test) which needs to be cleared in order to get admission in the BITS campus located at Pilani, Hyderabad, or Goa.The exam is to test the applicant’s knowledge, reasoning and analytical abilities.

What is BITSAT?

BITS is the most demanded university today. There is a huge competition for admission in BITS. Therefore, every year BITS conducts a performance test known as BITSAT. BITSAT is the abbreviated form of birla institute of technology and science aptitude test. BITSAT is a computer based test which selects the candidates only on the basis of their performance and no other factor determines the applicant’s eligibility for enrollment in the university after the exam. This BITSAT entrance exam paper is considered to be tough as compared to the equivalent competitive examinations. It is intentionally designed to be tough so it can efficiently select the deserving students for the prestigious institute.

BITSAT entrance exam paper includes questions from topics like English proficiency and logical reasoning besides the normal science subjects, i.e. physics, chemistry and mathematics. The syllabus of the exam does not contain any topic other than the class 11 and 12 NCERT syllabus. Nevertheless,attempting the questions in this objective type examination will not be easy. The questions are very tricky and are twisted well enough to confuse the aspirants regarding the theme of questions. Therefore, the BITS aspirants must prepare well for being able to crack the examination.

Test Pattern for BITSAT Exam

The BITSAT paper is based on objective-type multiple choice questions in which each question has four options and only one is correct.The duration of the exam is 3 hours and the question paper ss divided into 4 sections. The paper consists of 150 questions in a total of which 40 questions belong to the Physics section.The next 40 questions belong to the chemistry section.  the third section is further divided into two parts- the first part is English proficiency which includes 15 questions and the other part is logical reasonings consisting of 10 questions. The last section of the test is for maths and includes 45 questions.

For every correct answer, 3 marks will be given whereas for a wrong answer one mark will be deducted. Although For no response negative marking shall not be considered.There is no time limit for individual sections. The candidate can go back and change any of his/her answers in the given time.
