CGPSC is the department responsible for recruitment of employees for various departments of Chhattisgarh government. To be eligible for the recruitment process the candidate must have attained a minimum age of 18 and should be within the maximum age limit of 30 years. The candidate should be graduate in any discipline from a centrally recognized university. Candidates from reserved categories enjoy some additional relaxations on age limits.

The Final selection will be made on basis of 3 rounds of exams, preliminary examination, Mains examination, and personal interview.
The MPPSC Preliminary examination will have two papers, general studies and aptitude test. The General Studies paper will be of 200 marks and General Aptitude Test will also be of 200 marks.
The Mains examination will have various papers, Paper 1 will be of language, paper 2 essay, paper 3 history, constitution and public administration, Paper 4 science, technology and environment. Paper 5 economics and geography, paper 6 mathematics and logical ability, paper 7 philosophy and sociology.
All the papers out of 200 marks each. The personal interview round will be off another 150 marks.
