TS SET 2018 Telangana State – State Eligibility Test (TS SET) is a state level recruitment examination conducted by Osmania University for the recruitments and promotions of Lecturers and Assistant Professors in Degree colleges and universities in Telangana as per the UGC regulations. Selection Procedure for TS SET Exam

Selection of the candidates consists of five stages for final appointment. They are as follows:

  1. Filling up of Application Form
  2. Appearing for TS SET Exam
  3. Document Verification of TS SET
  4. Final Merit List
  5. Final Appointment

TS SET Exam Eligibility Criteria

  1. Candidates should have passed PG Degree in the relevant subjects.
  2. Candidates who are appearing for the final year PG Degree are also eligible.
  3. Candidates of general category should secure at least 55% of marks. For the candidates who belong to BC/SC/ST/PH/VH categories, should secure at least 50% of marks.
  4. There is No Upper age limit to apply for TS-SET examination.
  5. A candidate can avail any number of chances.

  1. Aptitude, Reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and General awareness.
  2. Concerned subjects

Teaching Aptitude Syllabus

  1. Methods of Teaching.
  2. Teaching Aids.
  3. Teaching: Nature, objectives, characteristics and basic requirements.
  4. Evaluation Systems.
  5. Learner’s characteristics.

Research Aptitude Syllabus

  1. Research: Meaning, characteristics, and types.
  2. Steps of research.
  3. Research Ethics.
  4. Methods of research.
  5. Thesis writing: its characteristics and format.
  6. Paper, article, seminar, workshop, conference, and symposium.

Logical Reasoning Syllabus

  1. Number Series, Letter Series, Codes.
  2. Relationships and Classification.
  3. Verbal analogies: word analogy, applied analogy.
  4. Verbal classification.
  5. Reasoning logical diagrams: Simple diagrammatic relationships, Multi diagrammatic relationships.
  6. Venn diagram, Analytical Reasoning.

Data Interpretation Syllabus

TS SET Exam Pattern

  1. TS SET consist of 2 papers.
  2. Paper 1 has 50 number questions.
  3. Paper 2 has 100 number of questions.
  4. Each question carries 2 marks each.
  5. Time duration of first session is 1hour.
  6. The second session is held for two hours.
