Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) conducts State Level Examination for the recruitment of Combined State Upper Subordinate Service vacancies. The candidates must possess Bachelors Degree of any university or equivalent qualification to apply for this examination. This Examination will be conducted in two stages, i.e., Preliminary Examination and Main Examination.

Only such candidates will be admitted to the main (written examination) who are declared successful in the preliminary examination.The official website releases the recruitment notification whenever the vacancies are available. Selection Procedure for UPPSC Combined State

Selection of the candidates would be depends on their performance in competitive examination, which comprises of three stages:
1. Preliminary Examination (Objective Type & Multiple choice).
2. Main Examination (Conventional Type, i.e. written examination).
3. Viva- Voce (Personality Test).

UPPSC Combined State Exam Eligibility Criteria

  1. Candidates must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have crossed the age of 40 years.
  2. The candidates must possess the Bachelors degree of any recognised university or equivalent qualification up to the last date for receipt of application.

  2. Current events of national and international importance.
  3. History of India and Indian National Movement.
  • Indian and World geography – Physical, Social, Economic geography of India and the World.
  1. Indian Polity and governance – Constitution, Political System, Panchayati Raj, Public Policy, Rights issues etc.
  2. Economic and Social Development – Sustainable Development Poverty Inclusion, Demographics, Social Sector Initiatives, etc.
  3. General Issues on Environmental ecology, Bio-diversity and Climate Change- that do not require subject specialization.

  2. Comprehension
  3. Interpersonal skills including communication skills.
  • Logical reasoning and analytical ability.

The preliminary exam is an objective type exam and main exam is a written type exam.
