Ganjam District Court Junior Typist Previous Year Question and Sample Model Papers

The notification for the recruitment of Junior Typist at the District Court, Ganjam is given on the official website of the Government of Odisha: http://ecourts.gov.in/.

You can view the recruitment notification by clicking on the ‘District Court’ tab, then on the map that will be displayed – click Odisha, and then when the map of Odisha is displayed – click on Ganjam. On the right-hand side, there will be a tab ‘Recruitment’. Click on that and it will lead you to the notifications for recruitment.The Syllabus and the exam pattern will be updated here on the daily basis and below given is the District Court, Ganjam Junior Typist (Type Test) Exam Previous Year Question Papers.

The candidates can apply by using the form given in the notification and attaching self-attested copies of the required documents (need not submit originals), put them in an envelope and send them to the Office of the District Court of Ganjam, Berhampur before the deadline.

The application fees will be –

  • For General / OBC Category – Rs. 100/-
  • For all other candidates – Nil

The fee has to be paid only as Treasury Challan under the head specified in the notification. The original challan has to be submitted along with the application form.

District Court, Ganjam Junior Typist (Type Test) Exam Syllabus

 The syllabus for the exam for the post of Junior Typist in District Court, Ganjam is –

English:

  1. Essay Writing
  2. Letter or Application Writing
  3. Translating One Oriya passage to English
  4. Translating One English passage to Oriya
  5. Summary of One English Passage

Typing Test: Candidate will be given a written passage of 400 words in English and he/she has to reproduce that in type script in 10 Minutes.

Computer Science Test: This is a practical test used to judge the proficiency of candidates in things like Text Formatting of Paragraphs, Inserting Tables, Skills to Print and Save documents, Transferring Files, Searching websites, Using Pen drives, etc.

  • Candidates who qualify in the written test – English – will be called for the Type Writing Test.
  • Then, the candidates who qualify the Type Writing Test will be called for the Computer Science Test.
  • Finally, the candidates who qualify the Computer Science Test will be called for the Viva Voice.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • The candidate should be a citizen of India.
  • Educational Qualification –
  • The candidate should have passed the +2 examination by a recognized board, council or University.
  • Should have a Diploma in Computer Applications from a recognized Institute.
  • Should be over 18 Years of age and below 32 Years of age. Upper age relaxation for SC / ST / SEBC / Women Candidates is 5 Years and for Physically Handicapped Candidates is 10 Years.
  • For ex-servicemen, the age after the period of service being deducted from the current age must not exceed 32 Years.
  • The candidate should be able to speak, read and write Odia and should’ve passed a test in Odia equivalent to the M.E. standard.
  • A candidate applying for the post of Junior Typist must have a minimum speed of 40 words per minute in English Type Writing.

How to prepare for District Court, Ganjam Junior Typist (Type Test) Exam?

To prepare well for the exam of Junior Typist, it is important to be thorough with the syllabus. Making sure that you’ve covered every topic and practiced it multiple times is crucial to your doing well in the exam.

The exam is divided into 4 parts. The first part – English – is the written exam. You must practice writing essays, letters, applications and translation of passages from Oriya to English and English to Oriya.
