At the Atlantic theater company, Darius helps Kimberly Akimbo with her dances. After getting into the New York Choreographic Institute, he started making dances.

He was asked to write a piece about the New York City Ballet to mark the tenth anniversary of the institute. Carolina Ballet put on his new ballet as part of their series on choreographers.
