People who knew Daniel think he would never do anything to hurt himself. Daniel does not have any medical or mental health history that can be found in the records.
On June 23, 2022, one year after Daniel went missing, the Buckeye Police Department said something. “When a loved one goes missing, it’s scary, hard, and stressful for families and the whole community,” the statement said. The police also said, “Investigators are still looking for answers that can bring Daniel home and bring closure to Daniel’s family and the many people whose lives have been affected by his case.”
Daniel is his “new mission,” says a desperate father
David Robinson moved from South Carolina to Arizona so that he could keep looking for his son. Daniel was the fourth and last child. He has a younger brother and two sisters who are twins. Daniel’s father has hired a private investigator and set up a GoFundMe page to raise money for the search. David said, “I have to stay strong for Daniel.”
The father, who had served in Afghanistan for two tours, said, “Even though I’m retired, I’m still a soldier,” he said, adding, “My son is my mission.” He is my new goal.”
Daniel’s Disappearance in Time
Daniel’s coworker last saw him around 9 a.m. on June 23, 2021. The coworker told the police that Daniel was saying things that didn’t make sense, like asking if he wanted to go rest and then asking if he wanted to go rest in Phoenix. Daniel stayed at the site for about 15 minutes, and then “he left all of a sudden.”
When Daniel didn’t get home until 7 p.m., his family started to worry. One of his sisters who lives in Phoenix looked in on his apartment in Tempe, but she didn’t find anything. His father called the police after that. Authorities say that a remote phone search and a search for the jeep’s location turned up nothing.
On July 19, a rancher found Daniel’s jeep in a ravine. It was damaged and on its passenger side. His father told Fox news that finding the SUV was “very sad.” David said, “It was one of the hardest times of my life.” He also said, “To this day, I can’t even think about what I saw and how the car looked.”
At the end of July 2021, a human skull was found south of where Daniel’s car was. But after four days, investigators decided that it did not belong to Daniel.
Was Daniel in love?
Daniel had told his friends and family about a woman he had met in the weeks before he went missing. Daniel told his sister, “This woman was the one he loved.”
The woman, on the other hand, told a different story. She told the police that she met Daniel on June 12 while he was delivering groceries for Instacart. As Daniel brought the food to the person, the woman asked him to hang out with her. She says she was drunk that night and “shouldn’t have let a stranger into her home.”
After that, the woman says, Daniel started texting her a lot. When he sent his last message on June 22, 2021, it said, “The world can get better, but I’ll need to take as much time as I or we, or whatever you want to call it, can. Either I’ll see you again or I won’t again.”
Anyone who knows something should call (623) 349-6411, says the Buckeye Police Department.
