IB PA Previous Question Papers – MHA Intelligence Bureau Personal Assistant

The Intelligence Bureau (IB) is an intelligence agency. It became Central Intelligence Bureau in 1947 under the Ministry of Home Affairs. In the year of 1885, Major General Charles MacGregor was selected as Quartermaster General and head of the intelligence Department for the British Indian Army at Simla. The main objective of IB was to monitor Russian troop deployments in Afghanistan, fearing a Russian invasion of British India by the North-West during the late 19th century.

From 1909, Indian Political Intelligence Office was established in England in response to the development of Indian revolutionary activities, which was came to be the Indian Political Intelligence (IPI) from 1921. 

IB Personal Assistant Selection Procedure

  1. Written Examination
  2. Skill Test
  3. Medical Examination& Interview

Those candidates who qualifies in Written Examination with given standards will be selected for the skill test. Based on the performance of the candidates in Written Examination and Skill Test, appropriate candidates will be selected for the final phase of the selection procedure which is Medical Examination and after that Personal Interview will be taken.

The exam pattern of the Intelligence Bureau Personal Assistant Examination consists of the given exam pattern shown above in the tabular format which contains two types Test one is Written Examination and another one is Stenography Skill Test.

The Written Exam will be containing objective type paper of total 80 marks as well as descriptive type papers of total 70 marks and both these papers duration will be oh total 2 hours combining both these papers. Stenography Skill Test will be containing shorthand typing test of criteria 100 words per minute and after that Dictation and Skill Test of computer will be taken. Stenography test will be of 1 hour duration and combining both these test there will be total 3 hour exam duration.
