Submission of details of teaching staff and non- teaching staff: CBSE Ensure

Following the complaints registered by the teachers alliance to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for performing non-academic work in private schools, the CBSE has determined to issue a circulation to around 16, 000 private affiliated schools. The 16,000 schools would negotiate the staff details of both the teaching and non-teaching staff before the CBSE.

In the complaint determined by the teachers association, unhappy teacher’s states that they were asked to perform the task of non-teaching staff such as accumulate fees and school bus services besides other administrative duties. According to CBSE’s directions, private schools should continue separate teaching staff, non-teaching staff and administrative staff. “By trouble those (teachers) with non-teaching work, we kill their creativity and education will suffer,” said CBSE official.

Teacher training programme in Leh under Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan: DIET organises

The District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) recently systematic a training program in Leh under the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, emphasize on why having a well-trained teacher is compulsory for quality education. The training’s main objective was to provide practical training to the teachers in order to help them reach their full potential. The main focus of this program was preparing lesson plans for the academic year. This plays a major role in helping teachers in planning next of time to uplift learning among students rather than being focused on finishing the syllabus. The DIET trains five to six master trainers at each training centre who work as a resource person and further training is being provided to other teachers. The Ladakh Self-Governing Hill Development Council, which administers Leh, has given a commitment that the syllabus will be modified to outfit modern day requirements and promised more transparency in the transfer policy.

The detailed project report for the permanent campuses is under preparation and thereafter the process for mounting up of the campuses would start.”The Cabinet also approved the formation of an IIM Jammu Society under the Societies Registration Act, 1860.”This is a segment of Prime Minister’s development package for Jammu and Kashmir. The institute, combine with opening of IIT at Jammu, modernization of NIT Srinagar and opening of two new AIIMS institutions, one each in Kashmir domain and Jammu domain, would go a long way in forum the requirement of high quality living and education in the state,” the statement said.
