The result of NDA and NA examination (II) which was conducted by the UPSC has been declared.
The result of National Defense Academy (NDA) and Naval Academy (NA) examination (II) which was conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has been declared. The result contains the roll numbers of all those candidates who have cleared the test and have now qualified for the next round. The mark-sheets of the candidates will be put on the commission’s website within fifteen days from the date of publication of the final result.

Finland’s school system is all set to undergo a revolutionary change by removing the school subjects from the curriculum. No more classes will be held for subjects like physics, math, literature, history, geography, etc. This system will be introduced for senior students, beginning at the age of 16. Changes are also expected to take place in the traditional format of teacher-pupil communication. Now, students won’t be required to sit behind school desks anymore and wait for their name to be called upon to answer a question. Instead, they will work together in small groups to discuss problems. Around 70 per cent of teachers in Helsinki have already undertaken preparatory work in line with the new system for presenting information, and, as a result, they’ll get a pay increase.
Government planning to sanction funds for higher education scholarship: Kerala
The government is planning to sanction funds for disbursal of higher education scholarship to degree and post-graduate students as supplementary demand for grant, State Education Minister C Raveendranath has said.
The scholarships are still pending for the academic period of 2014-15, 2015-16 and 2016-17, and an amount of Rs 2,374 lakhs which is required for disbursing that would be given to Kerala State Higher Education Council as supplementary demand for grant, Raveendran had informed the assembly on Wednesday.
Need to have innovation chapters in educational institutions: Chandrababu Naidu
Stressing on the need for new research, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu said that every university or educational institution should have a special ‘innovation chapter’ in it.”Every high school should have a innovation chapter, every university should have an innovation chapter. What is innovation, what we are doing differently,” Naidu said. He said huge companies have come up world over from IT giants to other service providers only on the basis of innovations Government also applied some of the innovations like utilizing power infrastructure to carry fiber lines to reduce costs, mentioned Naidu.
Make education free and compulsory till Class 12: MPs give suggestion on New Education Policy
In a discussion with the Human Resource Development Ministry on New Education Policy, the Member of Parliament (MPs) gave some of the suggestions like make education free and compulsory up to class 12, emphasis on skill-based learning and focusing on the needs of rural India. t is also learnt that Javadekar have told the Parliamentarians that the draft of the panel led by TSR Subramanian is not final and the government will appoint another committee “headed by an educationist” to draft the NEP.Shashi Tharoor of the Congress, initiated the discussion and among others who were present were Satyanarain Jatiya of the BJP, C P Narayanan of the CPI (M), Dhananjay Mahadik of the NCP, Derek O Brien of the TMC, Hussain Dalwai (Cong). Among other suggestions, the MPs sought installation of CCTVs in schools and colleges to make them more secure, mainstreaming out of school children etc.
