Parents Of Chaz Chambliss: Who Are They?

Chaz Chambliss’ parents, David and Amanda Chambliss, both attended Mississippi State University.

And, Chaz revealed to 247Sports in 2018 that both his mother and father attended Mississippi State. Chaz, who was still playing football for Carrollton High School at the time, talked about the nearly 20 college offers he had received and how he was leaning toward Mississippi because of family connections.

David Chambliss was born in 1966 on October 17th. His son remembers his father as a strict disciplinarian who could also be soft at times.

Also, David was a baseball and football fan and former player, which he passed down to Chaz when he was only 5 years old. David attended Mississippi State University after graduating from Nanih Waiya High School in 1985 to pursue a master’s degree in civil engineering.

David served in the United States Army for 25 years, rising to the rank of drill sergeant. After retiring, he relocated to Villa Rica, Georgia, with his then-wife Amanda Chambliss and son Chaz. David used his degree to get a job with Georgia Pacific and what is now Suez North America.

Despite having to maintain the appearance of a strict army father, Chaz remembers David as a nice guy with whom he could play, share, and go fishing.

David died on March 28, 2020, after a ten-month battle with a stroke, just as Chaz started college.

Amanda Chambliss is Chaz’s mother. She has kept her personal life private and is not active on social media platforms.

Georgia’s star is grateful to his guardians for raising him correctly and giving him the best opportunities in life.

Career Of Chaz Chambliss

Chambliss attended Carrollton High School in Carrollton, Georgia, which is only two hours away from Athens. He committed to the Bulldogs in the summer before his senior year and never wavered until early national signing day.

Also, Chambliss needed to put in some serious effort in college. He’s a tweener, too big to play inside linebacker but not as athletic as most of Georgia’s outside linebackers.

Dan Lanning, Georgia’s defensive coordinator, recruited him to play outside linebacker. Chambliss spent the summer learning the SAM position, which means he’ll be lining up on the formation’s strong side in college.

Chambliss had to distinguish himself from the other freshmen due to his limited athletic profile. In high school, he was 6-foot-2 and 250 pounds, but what he lacks in top-tier athleticism, he makes up for in power and work ethic.

He enrolled early and spent a significant amount of time in the weight room during the spring. The coaching staff was impressed with how Chambliss improved his body during the offseason, as he quickly became one of the team’s hardest workers.

Chambliss is a quick learner who takes a detailed approach to the game. During spring practises, he was able to get some reps with the second-team defence.

The biggest takeaway from Chambliss’ spring is his influence in the locker room. He holds others accountable and has led spring drills on several occasions.
