The government of India redefined the functions of Staff Selection commission through Ministry of personnel, Public allegation and Pension’s 21st May 1999.The new constitution and functions of Staff Selection Commission came into known from 1st June 1999.A subordinate office was renamed as staff selection Staff Selection Commission is an or administration under the Government of India to recruit staff for various posts in various departments of Government of India, ministries and in subordinate offices. Department of Personnel and training which consist of chairman, two Members and Secretary -cum -Controller of Examinations is attached with this commission. Headquarters of Staff Selection commission situated at New Delhi. At present, it has seven Regional Offices at Allahabad, Mumbai, Kolkata, Guwahati, Chennai, and Bangalore   . It has also two Sub-Regional offices at Raipur and Chhattisgarh commission .It was established on 4 November 1975. SSC is Staff Selection Commission which is an eminent Commission, established to conduct the written examination for the recruitment of the candidates for various government or Ministerial Departments. Since its inception, the government is utilizing its designated selection panel to conduct the exams for various technical or non- technical posts in the government service. The SSC constable written exam consists of 100 marks and duration of exam is 2 hours. This exam is basically objective type that means it consist of multiple choice questions. exam pattern consist of 4 parts each part consist of 25 questions and total no of questions are 100 and each question carry 1 marks .There is no negative marking in the examination .For offline examination , question will be set in various languages like Hindi ,English, Marathi ,Telugu, Assamese etc. The commission will conduct written examination of candidate those who qualified the both Physical efficiency Test as well as physical standard test in both mode online as well as offline mode. A large no aspirants appear in the examination every year to build their fantabulous carrier. The candidates who are preparing for the examination should study from the syllabus as prescribed by the Staff Selection Commission.
