Education Alumni Awards 2017 launches by British Council India: Recognizing outstanding Achievements

The British Council India has launched Education UK Alumni Awards in order to honor the outstanding achievements made by business professionals, entrepreneurs and community leaders across the globe.  If you want to apply or propose for awards, you are required to log in to the official website UK university alumni from the 14 participating countries are eligible to apply. The proposals close on October 16 and applications on October 31, 2016. The winners will be declaring in March 2017. India, Egypt, Ghana, Greece, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico, Nigeria, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Turkey and the USA.

For IITs HRD Ministry have to come up with new suggestions on October 6

The HRD Ministry is all set to come up new proposal to the central universities at an upcoming meeting of all vice-chancellors (VC) with minister Prakash Javadekar in Varanasi on October 6.With many changes taking place in the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) academic and administrative structure, the Human Resource Development (HRD) Ministry is expected to come up with a new proposal. Upcoming proposals would be similar as introduced recently where IITs were asked to increase the strength of student.

Top publisher loose copyright against North Campus photocopy shop

The Delhi high court has reportedly allowed leaving suits filed by three reputed international publishers against the sale of photocopied books in Delhi University. According to Hindustan Times, the landmark decision, which is likely to have a wide-reaching impact on the country’s copyright laws, was noticeable by Justice Rajiv Sahai Endlaw on Friday.The report said that in November 2012, the court had banned the Rameshwari Photocopy Service discover in north campus on a appeal moved by publishers, including University Press, Cambridge University Press and Taylor & Francis.

In Arunachal Pradesh Congress party losses its power again

The Congress party has again lost its government in Arunachal Pradesh, after almost all of its lawmakers in the state, including chief minister Pema Khandu, have joined the local People’s Party of Arunachal, reported PTI .Only 1 of 45 Congress lawmakers remains in the party. That is Nabam Tuki, who was replaced as Chief Minister when the Congress, in an effort to control the revolution in its ranks, replaced him with Khandu in July. The SC judgment effectively removed the government led by insurgent Congress leader Kalikho Pul which was promise in February with the support of 18 protester Congress MLAs and two independents, and 11 BJP MLAs who gave outside support. The SC’s judgement was considered historic.

MS Dhoni’s childhood friend reveal some untold stories
