Whoever behind this awful attack will not be unpunished PM Modi warns: Uri terror attack URI

On Sunday Prime Minister Modi strongly criticize the terror attack in Uri, the attack took place in early hours of Sunday and four terrorist were killed in the encounter. “We strongly criticize the courage lacking terror attack in Uri. I assure the nation that those behind this awful attack will not go unpunished. We salute all those martyred in Uri. Their service to the nation will always be remembered. My conviction is with the bereaved families. Have spoken to Home Minister and Raksha Mantri on the situation. Raksha Mantri will go to Jammu & Kashmir himself to take stock of the situation,” the Prime Minister tweeted.

Delhi HC attempts to find Centre’s reply on reservation policy in Medical colleges Delhi HC

The Delhi High Court has attempts to find the Centre’s response on reservation policy for defence category and its applicability in MBBS and MD courses of Vardhman Mahavir Medical College (VMMC) and Safdarjung Hospital here. The court also directed Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIU), with which the college is officially attach, to defer counseling for the seats covered under the five per cent quota for defence manpower till September 22, the next date of hearing. The court’s order came on a plea by Noor Dhaliwal, who has challenged GGSIU’s action in not making the reservation policy applicable under defence category in VMMC and Safdarjung Hospital.

BCCI welcomes BCCI invites 10-year tender for IPL subcontinent TV rights from 2018

The Indian cricket board invited fresh offer on Sunday for the Indian Premier League (IPL) broadcast rights, declare that it would sell the profit-making subcontinent segment to a single bidder for 10 years starting 2018.The IPL TV rights deal, owned by Sony Pictures Network India, will come to an end with next year’s IPL tournament. Although the contract with Sony had a clause giving it the right of first refusal, the BCCI said it had welcomed the company to offer again and did not expect any prosecution over it. In 2008, the year IPL was launched, and Singapore-based World Sports Group had bagged the IPL rights for 10 years for $918 million. In 2009, Sony signed a fresh contract profit $1.63 billion for nine years.

Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) orders Airtel, Voda, Jio to submit call traffic details

New Delhi: Trai has sequence Bharti Airtel, Vodafone, Reliance Jio, BSNL and MTNL to submit call details to survey the traffic pattern on their networks, a move which may help the regulator analyze claim by RIL group firm against holder on interconnection issue.”Trai has asked telecom operators to submit traffic details for purpose of examining them under interconnection usage paper. Airtel, Vodafone, Jio and public sector firms did not submit even after reminder. Therefore, Trai issued order for them. They have to submit data by September 16,” an official source told PTI.

Anurag Thakur invited the Lodha Pannel to BCCI office and want justification for ICC accounts

The relations between BCCI and ICC are set to get pungent as the Indian cricket board’s president Anurag Thakur hit back at ICC chairman Shashank Manohar’s question about “wasting 5-6 days watching Test cricket” and to the two-tier system and concentrate marketing of the broadcast rights of mutual series. He also hit out on the revenue system saying that BCCI organize two big events at a lower cost than ICC’s assign budgets.
