New Delhi: Issues related to the improvement in quality education and quality of management education, improving global perception of Indian Institutions  as well as exploring avenues for financing are likely to come up for discussion when HRD minster Prakash Javadekar  meets  director of IIM next month. This meeting comes into an active mode when HRD minister is constructing a New Education Policy (NEP), official said. In coming days HRD minister meets head of higher Educational Institutions which are financed by Union State of Government. And would be communicating with various Vice Chancellor of central universities, NITs Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs) etc,” the official added.


India’s biggest problem is School dropout, says Singapore Deputy PM

New Delhi: Bringing to spark, the high dropout rate in upper primary schools, Tharman Shanmugaratnam, the Deputy Prime Minister of Singapore, on Friday he said that schools in India are facing the “biggest problem”.  “It is the one of the second largest nation in terms of population also has the “biggest gap” between talent at the peak and unfulfilled energy at bottom,” said Deputy PM on his first speech of government think-tank Niti Aayog’s ‘Transforming India’ initiative. Spotlighting the example of his own country, the Deputy Prime Minister said it is not about spending more, but is about organization and culture.  He explains that when India took part in OECD PISA study in 2009, its position was 73rd out of 74 countries. “And this is in a country which has exceptional talent with people who go to IITs and IIMs and leading companies all over the world and are first-rated,”


 19th SAARC summit in Islamabad will host by Pakistan-

The idea for the SAARC was proposed by Ziaur Rahman, the then President of Bangladesh on May 2, 1980.19th SAARC (South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation) Summit in Islamabad (capital city) is hosted by Pakistan and Murree on November 9 and 10; 2016.It will be the meeting of head of states of eight SAARC countries. The 19th SAARC Summit with the theme Deeper Integration for Prosperity and piece was held in Kathmandu, Nepal in November 2014   It had focused on improving connectivity between the member states for simple transit-transport across the region SAARC is a regional intergovernmental administration and geopolitical union in South Asia. It promotes development of regional and economical integration. As of 2015, SAARC member countries adjustment of 3% of the world’s area, 21% of the world’s overall population and 9.12% of the global economy. Member Countries: Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan (joined in 2007). Ninth percipient states: Australia, China, European Union, Japan, Iran, Mauritius, Myanmar, South Korea, and United States.

DELHI 22nd EDITION BEGIN IN PRAGATI MAIDAN-

The 22nd edition of the Delhi Book Fair (DBF) started at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi.  The nine day event will held on 4th of September 2016.concentration  of the this edition of DBF will be to highlight initiatives taken by Union Government for its Sarva Shiksha Abhiyaan to instill better reading habits among the younger generation. The Delhi Book Fair has been organized by Indian Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO) in association with Federation of Indian Publishers. National campaigns started in the past two years by Union Government will be highlighted in the Theme Pavilion. Startups like Make in India, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Digital India, Skill India, Startup India, Smart Cities and Startup India will dominate these pavillions. It will also display case a wide range of fictions and non-fictions, academic books besides plenty of children’s literature.
