World record with 83 satellites on single rocket: ISRO Aims
The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has announced that it is aiming for a world record by launching 83 satellites into the orbit on a single rocket in early 2017. The rocket will launch 2 Indian and 81 foreign satellites into space. The total weight carried off into space by PSLV–XL will be 1,600 kg.

First Zika Virus infection has been detected by Myanmar
Myanmar’s government said today that a pregnant foreign woman has been diagnosed with the country’s 1st case of Zika, a mosquito-borne virus linked to birth defects. The WHO had warned earlier this month that Zika was likely to spread throughout Asia after being defected in 70 countries.
ICCI cut Bank lending rates, State Bank of India
The SBI and ICCI Bank today announced a cut of 0.15% and 0.10% in their lending rates respectively under a new system of computation. Under the revised rates, the one-year MCLR which determined a slew of products including home loans for SBI stands at 8.90%, while the same for ICCI Bank are at 8.95%.
