The West Bengal audit officer recruitment examination consists of two stages:
Preliminary Examination (Objective Type) and Main Examination (Conventional Type)
Exam Pattern and Syllabus for WBPSC Audit Officer Exam
The Preliminary exam is objective type test and is a general studies paper. There will be 200 multiple choice questions. The paper consists of two parts- Group A and Group B.The paper will be of 2 and a half hour duration and will carry 200 marks; one mark per question. Group A covers the topics- English Composition, Constitution of India with special Reference to Planning Commission, Finance, Accounts, Finance Commission, and Audit, General Knowledge, History of India and Indian National Movement, Reasoning, Current Affairs of National & International Importance, Geography. Group B covers the topics- Business Mathematics and Statistics, Accountancy and Costing.
The Main Exam consists of 2 stages namely Written Exam and Personality Test.
