ISRO satellite ready to launch: vehicle ready to complete the mission isro

Using the rocket GSLV-F05, the Indian Space Research Organization is ready to launch an advanced weather satellite called INSAT-3DR. The launch time scheduled to begin at 4:10 pm and live telecast of event will be available on YouTube, ISRO website and Doordarshan Channel. The weight of Satellite INSAT-3DR is 2,211 kg, will be put into a geo-transfer orbit by the rocket initially during lift off. Using its own propulsion systems the satellite will then be taken to its designated geosynchronous orbit. INSAT 3DR has a working life of eight years and is furnished with modern instruments to study weather patterns and to help in the surface-level search and rescue operations.
