Selection Procedure for BPSSC Excise Sub Inspector Exam

  1. Preliminary Examination
  2. Main Examination
  3. Physical Examination

First the BPSSC Board will conduct the Written Examination which is divided into two phases Preliminary Examination & Mains Examination and both exams will be of objective type. The most important thing is that candidates must have to get 30% Marks in the preliminary exam to appear in the next examination which is mains examination.For both the examination there will be negative marking of 0.2 marks.

The last phase is Physical Examination which includes Physical Standard Test & Physical Efficiency Test.

Preliminary Exams paper will be containing 100 Question of total 200 marks and the duration will be of 2 hours. The Preliminary exam will be related to the General Knowledge and Current Affairs.

  1. General Intelligence

Verbal and Figure Classification, Space Visualization, Arithmetic Number Series, Analysis, Judgement, Analogies, Relationship Concepts, Discriminating Observations, Visual Memory, etc.

  1. General Knowledge and Everyday Science

Current Affairs including issues of Country , National and International importance, Persons & Places in recent news, Games & Sports, Indian History, Civics, Geography, Indian Polity, etc.

  1. Quantitative Aptitude

Quantitative Aptitude includes topics related to Percentages, Decimal & Fractions, Profit and Loss, Simplification, Problems on Ages, Averages, Time and Work, Time and Distance, Ration and Proportions, Mixtures & Allegations, HCF & LCM, Simple & Compound Interest, Data Interpretations, Numbering System, etc.

  1. Clerical Aptitude

Perceptual Accuracy and Aptitude, Notice of similarities and difference between the pairs of numbers, Ability to handle office        routine work like abbreviating, filling, indexing, etc.

  1. General Hindi & English

Hindi Grammar and language (Class X- level), English Grammar and language (Class X- level).

  1. General Studies

Indian National Movement, General Science, Indian Politics, Economy & Culture, History of India, Indian Agriculture, Commerce and Trade, Special Knowledge regarding Education, Culture, Agriculture, Industry, Trade, Living & Social Traditions of Uttar Pradesh, World Geography and Geography and Natural Resources of India, Population, Ecology and Urbanization (in India Context), General Intelligentsia.
