Who Is Christopher Gallant? Meet Brett Gallant Brother Who Is A Former PEI Junior Champion
Brett Gallant is a curler from St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. He is currently a second-year player for the Brad Gushue rink.
Brett Gallant, also known as Brett Philip Gallant, is a well-known Athlete. He was born in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, on February 18, 1990.
Christopher Gallant, Brett Gallant’s brother, is also a Canadian professional curler. Christopher is a PEI Junior champion.
Brett, a Charlottetown native, has established a legacy in the sport of curling, as has his younger brother Chris, a talented curler in his own right.
When Brett and Christopher were babies, their father, Peter Gallant, taught them the ins and outs of the game.

Christopher Gallant (Brett Gallant Brother) Is A Champion Curler
Christopher Gallant, Brett Gallant’s brother, is a champion curler who won the Canadian University Championship in 2014.
Similarly, Christopher is a former PEI Canadian Junior Championship winner, having won it in January 2017. Chris was on top of the world at the age of 21 after winning the championship.
In March 2018, the older Gallant posted a photo of himself and Christopher while competing in the Brier 2018 at Brandt Centre Events.
Chris now lives in Winnipeg, Manitoba. And, like Brett, he began curling before the age of five.
Peter Gallant, a former Mixed champion and one of Canada’s most accomplished curlers, is the man who launched Brett and Chris Gallant’s remarkable curling careers. They were fortunate to inherit from their father, Peter, the intangible qualities of desire, hustle, and a winning mindset.
Christopher felt extra pressure after Brett won the world championship in 2017. “The shoes to fill just got a little bigger, I think,” he laughed. But he also said he was happy for him and that it was a happy moment for his family.
Personal Life
His parents are Kathie and Peter Gallant, Canadian former Mixed champions.
He attended Memorial University in St. John’s. He is in a relationship with his mixed doubles partner, Jocelyn Peterman.

Timeline
2018
The following season, the team won their tenth grand slam title at the 2018 Elite 10 (September). Bottcher’s rink would defeat them in the 2019 Tim Hortons Brier 3 vs. 4. On tour, they were defeated in the finals of the China Open by Russia’s Sergei Glukhov and the Stu Sells 1824 Halifax Classic by Scott Howard, who was missing from the Glenn Howard team.
They began their 2019-20 season at the 2019 AMJ Campbell Shorty Jenkins Classic, where they were eliminated in the quarterfinals by eventual champions John Epping. They then lost to Brad Jacobs in the semifinals of the Stu Sells Toronto Tankard, who went on to win the event. The team did not win any Grand Slam events, but finished second at the 2019 Masters and the 2019 Tour Challenge, and lost in the semifinals of the 2019 National and the 2020 Canadian Open.
After not having to compete in the Tankard for the previous two seasons, the team would win it in 2020. The team finished 8-3 at the 2020 Tim Hortons Brier, qualifying them for the 3 vs. 4 game. To win their third Brier title, they defeated Brad Jacobs in the 3 vs. 4, Saskatchewan’s Matt Dunstone in the semifinal, and Alberta’s Bottcher rink in the final.
The team was scheduled to compete in the 2020 World Men’s Curling Championship before the event was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Due to the pandemic, both the Players’ Championship and the Champions Cup Grand Slam events were cancelled, making the Brier their final event of the season.
Gallant and Peterman have won the 2018 Battleford Mixed Doubles Fall Curling Classic and the 2019 China Open on the World Curling Tour.
2017
Following this successful season, the team had another outstanding season in 2017-18. It was not without heartbreak, however, as the team lost in the semifinals of the 2017 Canadian Olympic Curling Trials. They bounced back, winning three more slams: the 2017 Tour Challenge, the 2017 Masters, and the 2018 Humpty’s Champions Cup.
At the 2018 Tim Hortons Brier, his rink would defend their title. They went 10-1 in the round robin and championship pools for Team Canada, and defeated Alberta’s Brendan Bottcher 6-4 in the final. They would lose the World Men’s Curling Championship final to Sweden’s Niklas Edin team.
2016
During the 2016-17 season, Team Gushue won one more grand slam, the 2017 Canadian Open. The team also had their most successful Brier to date at the 2017 Tim Hortons Brier in St. John’s.
They would win the 1 vs. 2 game over Manitoba’s Mike McEwen rink after finishing 9-2 in the round robin. Gushue needed to draw full eight foot to win the title after being tied 6-6 in the final end of the final against Koe. The team swept it all the way down the sheet, and the stone was just close enough to give them the victory. It was the province’s first Brier title since 1976.
The team represented Canada at the 2017 World Men’s Curling Championship, where they went undefeated and won gold. The entire Canadian team was named the tournament’s All-Star Team. This would put them atop the CTRS standings for the season.
Gallant and teammate Jocelyn Peterman won the 2016 Canadian Mixed Doubles Curling Trials in April 2016 after defeating Laura Crocker and Geoff Walker 12-8 at the Nutana Curling Club in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. The newly crowned champions were competing in their first Mixed Doubles tournament together. The pair competed in the 2018 Canadian Mixed Doubles Curling Olympic Trials, going undefeated in group play before losing in the semifinals to eventual champions John Morris / Kaitlyn Lawes.
The 2019 Canadian Mixed Doubles Curling Championship was also won by Peterman and Gallant, who defeated Nancy Martin and Tyrel Griffith in the final. The pair represented Canada at the 2019 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship, where they took silver after losing 6-5 on the last rock to Sweden’s Anna Hasselborg and Oskar Eriksson.

2015
During the 2015-16 season, the Gushue rink won three more grand slams: the 2015 National, the 2016 Elite 10, and the 2016 Players’ Championship. After a successful tour season, the team entered the 2016 Tim Hortons Brier as the top seed.
They led Newfoundland and Labrador to a 9-2 round-robin record, advancing them to the 1 vs. 2 game. They defeated Northern Ontario’s Jacobs before falling to Alberta’s Kevin Koe in the final 9-5. The team finished the season second in the CTRS standings, just behind the Koe rink.
2012
Gallant joined Brad Gushue’s team as the team’s third during the 2012-13 season, and moved to Newfoundland and Labrador in the process. The team would win the 2013 Newfoundland and Labrador Tankard, qualifying them for Gallant’s first Tim Hortons Brier.
With an 8-3 record, the team qualified for the playoffs. They would lose the 3 vs. 4 game to Brad Jacobs of Northern Ontario and the bronze medal game to Glenn Howard of Ontario. After finishing 6-5 in the round robin, the Gushue rink did not advance to the playoffs at the 2014 Tim Hortons Brier. Mark Nichols returned to the team the following season, and Gallant moved to second.
They would better their best finish at the 2015 Tim Hortons Brier, where they were eliminated in the semifinals by Team Canada, led by Pat Simmons. Gallant would also win his first Grand Slam of Curling event, the 2014 Masters, and the 2014 Canadian Open during the 2014-15 season.
2009
Gallant has represented Prince Edward Island in the Canadian Junior Curling Championships on numerous occasions, most recently in 2009, when he won on his fourth attempt.
Gallant won five consecutive provincial titles in Prince Edward Island from 2006 to 2010. He holds the record for the most all-time Canadian Junior Curling Championships wins (48), which he set after his second win at the 2010 Canadian Junior Curling Championships.
Gallant represented Team Canada at the 2009 World Junior Curling Championships, finishing first after the round robin but losing in the final to Denmark’s Rasmus Stjerne rink.
