Christopher Bell, an American NASCAR driver, is not related to Joe Gibbs via blood.

Still, he is close to Gibbs because Bell races full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series for Joe Gibbs Racing, a NASCAR racing firm owned by Joe Gibbs.

He recently made the front pages of many news outlets following the unexpected death of Joe Gibbs Racing co-owner Coy Gibbs. Coy was Joe’s son and one of the company’s most important members, married to Heather Gibbs. The company had reached unprecedented heights under his leadership.

Before his death, Gibbs was even there at Championship 4 for Sunday’s Cup Series championship race. Bell and Coy’s son, Ty, were among those who took part in the race.

Christopher and Joe Gibbs are not biological relatives, but they get along well as coaches and teammates because they are both employees of Joe Gibbs Racing.

They are from a family who are from opposite sides of each other’s hometown. Gibbs was born in Mocksville, North Carolina, as the oldest son of Jackson Ceufud and Winnie Era Gibbs.

He had been active in sporting activities since boyhood, thus he chose a profession in sports and racing. He made a name for himself as a sportsman, playing American football, and as a racer, eventually launching his own racing organization.

Christopher, on the other hand, is a native of Norman, Oklahoma, and has lived the majority of his life there. He had shown symptoms of being at the top of the league since his boyhood and was destined to become a prominent face in the American racing industry.

He worked hard and proved to the world that he was one of the most powerful race drivers the country had ever seen. He debuted in NASCAR in 2015, and five years later, he was invited to join the legendary Joe Gibbs Racing team.

Christopher Bell’s Journey To Become A Part Of Joe Gibbs Racing

Christopher’s racing career began in 2015. That year, he made his Camping World Truck Series debut, competing in seven races for Kyle Busch Motorsports, beginning in Iowa. His supervisor awarded him with fifth place.

He recognized at the time that if he continued to practice, he could climb to a much higher level, and the American racing industry was also thriving.

He won the next two races at the legendary Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio, where he led 106 laps his route to victory. Bobby Pierce, the runner-up, was his closest competitor that day, with a 39-point lead.

Bell made the playoffs for the first time in 2017. He advanced to the Championship 4 round. He would finish third overall. The following racing season, he would win every race.

After transferring to Xfinity, he was named series Rookie of the Year in 2018 and set the single-season record with seven victories. When he won for the first time in Richmond, he automatically qualified for the playoffs.

Bell made a strong challenge for the championship, but finished fourth in Championship 4. He returned the next year and put up a strong resume that included a career-high eight triumphs, 20 top-five, 21 top-ten finishes, and six pole positions to show that 2018 was not an outlier. That year, Bell had a 9.1 average finish.

Following that, he performed so well in the following years that many racing organizations, including Joe Gibbs Racing, vied for his services. He was a member of Leavine Family Racing at the time, and as a result, they announced that Bell would begin driving the No. 95 Toyota in the Cup Series in 2020.

His Xfinity crew chief, Jason Ratcliff, also joined the group. Bell finished the past season of LFR with two top fives and seven top tens. After finishing 20th in the standings, he was given a drive in the No. 20 for Joe Gibbs Racing in 2021. Since then, he has proven his worth to the company and is now one of Joe Gibbs Racing’s most renowned drivers.

Bell, unlike many other drivers on the NASCAR circuit, did not come from a racing family. David and Kathy, his parents, began taking him to I-44 Speedway to watch Daniel Orr race.

Orr was a basketball player for David Bell, who was attending Community Christian School in Norman at the time. Will, Orr’s father, had spent a considerable chunk of his life racing. That’s how Christopher got his chance to compete in the racing world.

In the early 2000s, Bell began his racing career in micro sprints at I-44 Riverside Speedway.

Bell competed in two NASCAR K&N Pro Series West races in 2015, at Irwindale Speedway and Iowa Speedway. For Bill McAnally Racing, he drove the No. 54. He finished the race in fifteenth and second place.

Bell made his Camping World Truck Series debut with KBM in the American Ethanol 200 race in June 2015. Bell won the 2017 Truck Series championship on November 17, 2017. He has seven Truck Series victories and six pole positions.

Bell made his Pinty’s Series and Xfinity Series debuts in May 2017. Despite being spun out, Bell finished in fourth place in his Xfinity debut. He has 12 pole positions and 46 top ten finishes in 16 races in the Xfinity series.

Bell was announced as the No. 95 Toyota driver in the 2020 Cup Series by Leavine Family Racing on September 24, 2019. In addition, his Xfinity group boss, Jason Ratcliff, joined him in the group. Bell finished twentieth in the previous season of LFR.
