Dante Fabbro was with his parents, Steve and Tina Fabbro, as he was drafted 17th overall by the Predators. Both Fabbro and his father are Burnaby Winter Club alumni.

The Fabbro family has been active with Burnaby Winter Club for three generations, beginning in 1966.

Dante is a Nashville Predators ice hockey player in the National Hockey League. The right-shooting defender has twice earned a silver medal for Canada.

When he was picked to represent Canada in the 2017 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships, he made his first World Juniors participation. He served as Team Canada’s alternate captain in the 2018 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships, leading his team to a gold medal.

Dante Fabbro Was Born To Athletic Parents Steve and Tina Fabbro

Dante Fabbro is the youngest child of Steve and Tina Fabbro, born on June 20, 1998. Coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada is where he was born.

His father is a member of the Burnaby Winter Club. Steve is a member of the club’s board of directors. His father and grandfather have each frequented the club.

The two older Fabbros were aware that Dante, now 24, belonged in the club, and the blueliner wouldn’t have it any other way. Dante continues to apply the principles he learned as a child.

Tina believes that when he was three, he would have slept with his rollerblades on, then put them on, and there would have been no turning back.

She initially signed him up for skating lessons, but after realising that he didn’t believe he needed training, his teachers suggested tiny-tot hockey instead. And that was the end of it; he just continued going.

Dante Fabbro Was Raised With His Sisters Gina and Sophia Fabbro

Dante Fabbro was raised by his two siblings. Three of them are competitive athletes who come from athletic households.

Gina, his older sister, attended Centennial Secondary School and was selected Rookie of the Year as a freshman. She’s taken part in three Olympic Development Programs.

After scoring ten goals in 12 games in the 2010 USL Y League, his sister won the Golden Boot Award. Gina has also played with the Coquitlam Metro Ford Soccer Club, where she was the best goal scorer for the U16 and U17 teams.

She was a member of the Vancouver Whitecaps development squad from 2012 to 2013.

Sophia Fabbro played soccer at NCAA Austin Peay. Her sister Gina was on the same team as her.

She represented Coquitlam Metro-Ford SC in club soccer, where she won regional and international titles in 2010. Sophia graduated from the same high school as her sister in 2018.

Timeline

2019

Fabbro signed a three-year entry-level contract with the Nashville Predators on March 27, 2019. He made his NHL debut on March 30, 2019, in a 5-2 loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets, and scored his first NHL goal on April 9, 2019.

Fabbro was picked to Team Canada’s squad for the 2019 IIHF World Championship in Slovakia on April 29, 2019, following his first playoff experience with the Predators. Fabbro helped Canada advance to the playoff stages before falling to Finland in the final to take the Silver Medal on May 26, 2019. In 9 games, he finished with one goal and three points from the blueline.

2017
