Ed Leigh: Biography

After beginning her tenure on BBC’s Ski Sunday in 2007, Leigh became an integral element of the formula of the immensely successful show.

It was all because of his commentary on the 2006 Winter Olympics in Italy that the BBC decided to bring him on board. In the years that followed, he also served as a commentator at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Canada.

Ed next appeared on the BBC’s broadcast of the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, where he specialized in Beach Volleyball and the BMX event.

This was a departure from his customary icy commentary position at sporting events.

Because of his job and his passion for extreme sports, Ed has had a lot of intriguing experiences, which he shares in his speeches and which make for fantastic anecdotes.

This courageous TV presenter even spent a week living with dogs for a documentary called “My Life as an Animal,” but his rise to the post of Editor for the popular magazine White Lines within six months, after initially being hired as a tea boy, is undoubtedly his most noteworthy feat.

Ed is a seasoned event host, and due to the immense enthusiasm he has for the sports he adores, he takes great pleasure in interacting with the crowds that attend his events so that everyone feels like they are a part of the action.

Ed has a one-of-a-kind perspective on winter sports due to the fact that he has worked in both the capacity of an enthusiast and a pundit. This perspective will surely be communicated throughout his presentation.
