Career
Ebron announced in 2013 that he would forego his remaining eligibility and enter the 2014 NFL Draft.
He participated in the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis and completed the majority of the drills, but he skipped the short shuttle and three-cone drill due to a minor injury.
Ebron was selected by the Detroit Lions in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft. Ebron was the first tight end drafted and became North Carolina’s eighth-highest selection in school history. He also became the Detroit Lions’ highest-drafted tight end in franchise history.
