These allegations included assaults on female fans and other players. Houston

Briles returned to his alma mater, the University of Houston, in January 2018 to take on a variety of coaching responsibilities, including those of assistant head coach, offensive coordinator, and quarterbacks coach. On December 22, 2018, he tendered his resignation from this job.

Kendal Briles named offensive coordinator at Arkansas

Kendal Briles, who used to be the offensive coordinator at Florida State, is now the offensive coordinator at Arkansas.

Monday, the University of Arkansas sent out a press release that made the news official. On the offensive side of the ball, he is the third person that new Razorback head coach Sam Pittman has hired. Earlier this month, Pittman hired former Missouri offensive line coach Brad Davis, and he has kept on Razorback receiver coach Justin Stepp.

Before this season, Briles took over as the offensive coordinator for FSU. At the end of the regular season, the Seminoles were 6-6 overall and 4-4 in the Atlantic Coast Conference. On Dec. 31, in El Paso, they will play Arizona State in the Sun Bowl.

Pittman said in the release, “We are very happy to have Kendal, his wife Sarah, and their three children join us at Arkansas. They will be a great addition to the football family we are building.” “Kendal brings a new way of thinking about offence to our team of coaches. His offences have done well in some of the most competitive leagues in the country by both running the ball and throwing it. He is well-known for being able to find and train young men to become great football players.

Last season, Briles worked at Houston as the offensive coordinator, the assistant head coach, and the quarterback coach. With Briles in charge of the Cougars’ offence, they became one of the most dangerous teams in the country. They averaged 43.9 points per game, which was the most in the American Conference and fifth most in the country. Houston was one of only three FBS teams to rank in the top 25 in both rushing yards and passing yards. But the Cougs’ record for the year was only 8-5.

During Briles’s one year as OC at FAU under Lane Kiffin, the Owls’ rushing offence was ranked sixth in the country. In each game, they ran for an average of 285.3 yards. Florida Atlantic had a record of 11-3 and won the Conference USA Championship for the first time. Their 40.6 points per game put them in eighth place in the country.

Briles started coaching at Baylor in 2008, working for his father Art Briles as an inside receivers coach and offensive recruiting coordinator. He stayed in the job until 2012, when he was also given the title “passing game coordinator.” In the end, he was given the job of offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach in 2015.
