Gujarat High Court HC EXAM PATTERN:-
It is very important for the candidates to understand the pattern and scheme of the exam to get the required seats. The examination is divided into manly three parts:-
- Preliminary Exam:-
It contains two paper each of 100 marks and one hour is provided for each of the papers.
The first paper is related to subject ‘law’ and contains question-related to the constitution of India/Indian panel code. The second paper is related to English language and current affairs. In this section questions related to Indian history/geography/sports,/basic IT/mental ability are asked.
- Main Exam:-
The Main Exam contains 3 papers paper one is based on subject ‘Criminals’ and Paper 2 is based on subject ‘Civil’ and the third paper is subjected to the Gujarati language. candidates are provided 3 hours to write each paper for the main exam.
Paper 1 and Paper 2 are further divided into two parts, part 1 and part 2 including 50 marks each containing questions on judgment writing and short notes questions.
      (C) Interview:
The candidates who qualify both the exams will be called for personal interviews.
The interview part has been assigned a total of 50 marks.
The questions will be asked to analyze a candidate’s mental capability and to asses their judgment quality.

SELECTION PROCEDURE for Gujarat HC District Judge Exam:-
A candidate has to secure minimum 50% to qualify in the prelims then only he/she shall be able to sit in the main written exam. however, the marks obtained by the candidate in the preliminary examination is not considered for preparing the final merit list. A preliminary examination is like an elimination round. Candidates have to qualify in this to get a chance to seat for the further exams but this is not in the case of personal interview, anyone who qualify the preliminary exam can appear in both the main exam and the personal interview irrespective of his/her performance in the main examination. Candidate’s selection is totally depends on the aggregate marks obtained in the Main examination and Personal Interview only.

The first paper is preliminary exam it contains 2 papers, Paper 1 and Paper 2, having multiple choice questions.

After qualifying preliminary exam we have the main exam. it contains 600 marks it contains 3 papers:

Personal Interview:-
- All the candidates appearing in the main exam also have to appear in the personal interview.
