How to apply?

Any interested and eligible candidate can apply for the vacancy on the given official website. An application fees has to be submitted which is –

  • General Category – Rs. 1000
  • SC/ST/OBC/OEC/Ex-Servicemen & PDP – Rs. 500

The payment can be made online on the e-payment portal on the given official website after filling the application form or as Cash-Challan in offline mode.

 Once the candidate qualifies the Preliminary and Main Exam, he/she has to go through the Personal Interview in order to be selected.

Eligibility Criteria for Gujarat HC Civil Judge Exam–

Candidate must have a degree in Law from a recognized university by law in India and must be practicing as an Advocate in Courts of Civil and / or Criminal Jurisdiction on the last date fixed for submission of the online application.

  • Candidates having a degree in law dated 2009-2010 and onwards must have also passed the All India Bar Examination to be eligible for being termed as a Practicing Advocate.

OR

  • Candidate must be working in courts or other allied departments on the last date fixed for the receipt of applications and must have LL.B. Degree of 3 or 5 years from a recognized university.
  • Must have Certificate(s), certifying to be having basic knowledge of Computer Application / Operation, issued by a Government Institute or other recognized Institute, as set out by the Government of Gujarat in General Administrative Department Resolution No. PRCH-102005-1532-K, dated 30/09/2006 and Resolution No.CRR-10-2007-120320-G.5 dated 13/08/2008.

Gujarat HC Civil Judge Exam Age Limit:

  • Candidate belonging to General Category must not be beyond 35 Years of age.
  • Candidate belonging to SC/ST / Socially & Educationally Backward Classes (declared such by Gujarat Government) / Orthopedically Disabled Persons and Ex-Servicemen must not have completed 38 Years of age.
  • The employees working in the Courts or other Allied Departments may get a relaxation of a maximum period of 05 years or to the extent of equal number of years for which service has been put in by him/her, whichever is less, in the upper age limit.

In any case, the Upper Age Limit for such Candidate under any Category shall not exceed 40 years, as on the last date of submitting the ‘Online Application’.
