On December 22, 2022, Julie wrote a beautiful goodbye message on Facebook about Jake’s last day with the Bulldogs.

She felt sad and happy as she watched her child play in SoFi stadium for the last time. She was also proud of Jake, telling him that he had a great, magical season and made NCAA history by beating the Washington State Cougars 29–6 in the LA Bowl.
