After Jamaar Bracey’s nephew was killed in a drive-by shooting in Chicago in January, the case of mistaken identity was started. From a Facebook group, Jamaar was able to find Shawn.

When Shawn gray went to Atlanta to celebrate his girlfriend’s birthday, he was shot and killed right outside the hotel where he was staying. Jamaar watched Shawn carefully for three days before he killed him.

Jamaar Bracey will spend the rest of his life in prison because he killed Shawn Gray out of revenge and thought he was someone else. After the murder, he bragged about it on Facebook.

The incident happened early in the morning of January 17, 2021, outside a hotel in Cobb County, Georgia. At 3:30 a.m., Bracey and Ashley Davis followed Shawn Gray to his hotel, where they shot him in the parking lot. Four of the six bullets that were shot at Gray hit him, and he fell to his death on a rock ledge outside the hotel.

Jamaar, the killer, thought Shawn was the one who killed his nephew in a drive-by shooting in Chicago on January 6, 2021. He had been following Gray for three days before the murder.

After tracking Jamaar for three days, the police gave him a sentence of life in prison without parole plus five years on September 21, 2021. This was for the planned, reckless, and cold-blooded murder of Shawn Gray.

The case was over on September 21, 2021, when Jamaar was given a sentence of life without parole plus five more years.
