She earned her bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Georgia. She worked behind the scenes at CNN in Atlanta after graduation.

Amanda relocated from the Southeast to Dallas in her mid-20s in search of a more significant challenge. Fortunately, her efforts were rewarded when she was hired by the webcasting company Audionet.

Mrs. Leonard has always had an interest in nutrition. As a result, she is now pursuing a career as a health coach, assisting her clients in developing health plans and goals.

When she isn’t filling sippy cups or visiting museums with her children, Amanda takes care of herself by socialising and running with other PGA wives.

Wife of Justin Leonard

Justin Leonard and Amanda Leonard married in 2002.

The Leonards spent a year on their honeymoon touring the world with the PGA.

Amanda landed a luxurious apartment in Turtle Creek when she started working at Mark Cuban’s early webcasting company Audionet. Justin happened to be a few doors down in the same building.

Amanda met Justin in the hallway of their building in 2001, and their love story began. The two eventually started dating and spent a lot of time travelling together.

After a year of dating, they announced their engagement in 2002 and married five months later.

Amanda revealed to DFW Child in 2019 that she was unaware of Justin’s golf fame during their dating phase.

She also mentioned Leonard’s impending departure from the building. But it was fate that brought them together in such a short period of time.

Married Life Of Justin and Amanda Leonard

Justin and Amanda have been married for 20 years and their relationship is still going strong.

Amanda managed their household and cared for their three children while Justin was away competing in golf tournaments. Every year, the Leonards spend about 32 weeks in Florida.

Traveling from place to place and moving from hotel to hotel with three children may appear exhausting; however, Amanda’s calm demeanour stands in stark contrast.

As Amanda stated, there isn’t a single day that she doesn’t pause to appreciate their existence. The nonstop travel schedule came naturally to her and her children from the start.

All three of their children are now accustomed to it. They, like their father and mother, enjoy adventure.

Meanwhile, the PGA does an excellent job of keeping the players’ families together by providing tour-related daycare.

Early Years Of Justin Leonard

Justin Charles Garrett Leonard was born in Dallas, Texas on June 15, 1972.

Justin’s first experience with a golf club came at the age of 15 when his father took him and his friends on a golf trip.

As a result, he developed a passion for the sport, and his father trained him to be the best golfer he could be.

Justin graduated from Lake Highlands High School in 1990. He then attended the University of Texas while beginning his golf career.

In 1994, he won the NCAA championship, which is regarded as the pinnacle of men’s collegiate golf in the United States.

His family became involved in his career, with his mother handling logistics and his father handling investments and event scheduling.

Justin’s sister’s extensive knowledge of public relations and the media was also beneficial to his career.

Justin won the US Amateur championship and was a two-time All-American between 1992 and 1994.

He won his first major award, the Haskins Award, in 1994, and went on to become the fourth golfer to go straight from college to the PGA Tour without the assistance of a Q School.

Career Life Of Justin Leonard

Justin’s PGA Tour career began with a bang when he won the Open Championship in 1997, followed by the Players Championship the following year.

During this time, he was ranked among the top ten in the Official World Golf Ranking, a position he held for 24 weeks, and he qualified for the United States Ryder Cup team in 1997, 1999, and 2008.

Justin and his family relocated to Aspen, Colorado, in 2015, where he continued to train and pursue his golfing career. However, it wasn’t long before he decided to change careers and signed on as a golf announcer and commentator later that year.

He joined Golf Central’s “Live From” as an analyst for PGA Tour live tournament commentary, but even though he was pursuing a career in television, he still felt like he wasn’t done with golf.

Leonard returned for a limited number of tournaments during the 2016 season, appearing in a total of 16 events. The following year, he qualified for the 2017 Texas Open, but finished in 58th place.

Justin Leonard was never able to match the accomplishments of players such as Gary Player, Ernie Els, and Jack Nicklaus, who were able to stay ahead of the pack for the majority of their careers.

He recently returned to the PGA Tour to compete in an event in early 2022, but he did not make the cut.

Justin will not be forgotten as he qualifies for PGA Tour Champions events once he turns 50.

Meanwhile, he continues to provide fans with the benefit of his three decades of professional golf experience by commentating on the current tour.

Personal Life Of Justin Leonard

Justin married Amanda Leonard, who worked for CNN in Atlanta before relocating to Dallas in 2002.

They had three daughters, Reese Ella Leonard, Skylar Charles Leonard, and Avery Kate Leonard, as well as a son, Luke Garrett Leonard.

When the kids were younger, the family travelled a lot for Justin’s tournaments. However, as the children grew older, there was less time for travel. Being away from his family took its toll on Justin, and the stress of the tour began to affect his game.

Justin decided that he and his family needed a change of scenery after not winning a major title since 2008 and not being in the top earning bracket.

Justin and his wife discussed various options before settling on Aspen, Colorado, as the ideal location for raising a family.
