Who is Lisa Reeves?
Lisa Reeves was the daughter of the late Rodger Wayne Reeves and Sylvia Elise Mitchell Reeves. She was married to Gordon Randall Gwathney, sometimes known as Randy, and their neighbors referred to them as a “regular marriage.” Their marriage, however, did not last long, with Sylvia filing for divorce, according to reports. Lisa had left Randy and went to her family home in Lee County, Arkansas, 5 miles south of Palestine, to live with her mother and maternal grandparents, James Oliver Mitchell Jr. and Evelyn Elise Wilson Mitchell.
Randy came over to meet his estranged wife in Lee County on the night of February 13, 2007, and the two began bickering over a credit card and other financial issues. The debate quickly got physical, with Randy punching Lisa and Sylvia rushing in to intercede. Randy was warned to leave her daughter alone immediately or she would phone the police. Randy then turned on her mother-in-law, beating her, while Lisa evaded his hands to fetch her phone and call for aid.
Lisa hid herself in her grandparents’ room after hearing gunfire and fled through the window to her brother Travis Reeves’ house next door. Travis ran over to see what was going on and was shot several times. At roughly 1:45 a.m., the St. Francis County Sheriff’s Office got a panic 911 call from Lisa, and officers were quickly summoned to the location. Deputy Tracy Jackson, the first officer to arrive at the Reeves’ home, was also fired at by Randy, who then fled the area before more officers arrived.
When police arrived to the Reeves home, they discovered Tracy and Travis in serious but non-fatal condition. Travis had been wounded five times, while Tracy received wounds from rounds that had penetrated his patrol car’s windscreen. They were immediately sent to a hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, for treatment. However, investigators discovered that Sylvia, James, and Evelyn were not so fortunate. Sylvia had been shot execution-style, and both of her grandparents had died from gunshot wounds.

Lisa Reeves was raised as their daughter by Sylvia Elise Mitchell Reeves and Rodger Wayne Reeves, both of whom died. She married Gordon Randall Gwathney, also known as Randy, and the people next door referred to them as a “regular couple.” According to rumors, Sylvia has already filed for divorce, indicating that the couple’s marriage did not last long. Lisa returned to her childhood home in Lee County, Arkansas, five miles south of Palestine, after her breakup with Randy. She stayed with her mother and her mother’s parents, James Oliver Mitchell Jr. and Evelyn Elise Wilson Mitchell, in that town.
Randy went to Lee County on the evening of February 13, 2007, to see his ex-girlfriend, and while he was there, the two of them began talking about a credit card and a few other financial difficulties. The dispute quickly turned into a physical altercation, with Randy striking Lisa and Sylvia intervening to mediate. She urged Randy to stay away from her child right away or she would report the incident to the authorities. Randy was unfazed and moved his focus to her mother-in-law, defeating her as Lisa rushed away from him while he was still aware of what was going on so she could get her phone and call for help.
Lisa hid in the room that belonged to her grandparents to protect herself after hearing gunfire, and then she escaped via a window to reach her brother Travis Reeves’ house, which was next door. Travis paid a visit to assess what was going on and was terminated for a variety of reasons. Lisa dialed 911 in a panic at 1:45 a.m., and the St. Francis County Sheriff’s office received the call. Police officers were summoned to the scene as soon as they received the call. Randy challenged Deputy Tracy Jackson, the first police to succeed in the Reeves’ home, and then departed the scene before several other officers arrived. Randy was the first cop to be successful at the Reeves’ house.
Officers from the local law enforcement agency went to the Reeves family’s home to look for Tracy and Travis, who had been involved in significant but non-fatal incidents. While Travis had been terminated five times, Tracy had been injured as a consequence of missiles that had entered the windscreen of his patrol car. They were transported by ambulance to an emergency room in Memphis, Tennessee, to receive immediate medical assistance. Sylvia, James, and Evelyn, on the other hand, did not fare as well as the others, according to the investigators. Sylvia had been shot in an execution-style manner, and both of her grandparents had also perished from gunshot wounds.
