A Look At Nicole Byer and Husband John Milhiser’s Infamous Divorce

Nicole Byer and husband John Milhiser split after a phony marriage to obtain a green card.

She was previously married to John Milhiser, albeit she is no longer. In an episode of Byer’s short-lived comedy series “Loosely Exactly Nicole,” a man in need of a green card marries her and offers her money in exchange (per IMDb).

In a 2016 interview with Entertainment Weekly, Byer said that the scenario was based on a true story.

The American actress admitted to having been married, even if it had been a sham marriage. She stated she owed more than $30,000 at the time, so getting married looked like a good way to pay off her debt.

Her ex-husband, an Indian, required an inexperienced card. She stated that she and her ex-partner had no romantic relationship.

Nicole went on to say that after getting married, she used the money to pay for more improv comedy training rather than repaying her loans. Finally, the fabricated union ended in divorce.

Nicole admitted in an interview with Jimmy Kimmel that she would rather focus on buying a bag than dating right now.

Nicole Byer New Boyfriend – Is She In A Relationship?

She currently does not have a boyfriend and is content with her single status.

Byer is gorgeous, humorous, and warm, so it’s strange she’s never been in a serious relationship. In every other way, she appears to be the ideal candidate for world ruler.

She is the host of the popular and ridiculous baking competition show Nailed It, which airs on Netflix and challenges contestants who aren’t exactly talented bakers to produce, like, a Napoleon cake or an incredibly lifelike shark.

Byer has been on 30 Rock and Saturday Night Live after enrolling in her first comedy class in 2008. She also wrote and acted in Loosely Exactly Nicole, a semi-autobiographical comedy program that launched on MTV before moving to Facebook. Her Netflix standup special launched this year.

Best Friends is a podcast co-hosted by Byer and fellow comedian Sasheer Zamata that investigates contemporary female friendships.

Nicole Byer Yearns for the Same Level of Love as her Parents

She is an entertainer who plans her success with the foresight of a business executive, just like her grandmother and mother, Lillie Byer. She is a white suburban dreamer, the daughter of a Barbadian immigrant and a Jim Crow South migrant.

Nicole grew raised in a Caucasian neighborhood in Middletown Township, New Jersey. Her mother, a Mississippi native, spotted her comedic ability and urged her to pursue a career in theater. At that point, the comic realized the importance of being able to make others laugh.

In an interview with The Washington Post, Byer noted that while her mother encouraged her theatrical ambitions, she preferred that she pursue a more traditional job path after high school. After her mother died when she was 16, Byer decided to come to New York City to pursue acting.

Her motivation comes from the love her mother and father shared. Despite being natural adversaries, her parents were completely loyal to and in love with each other.

Her father also always showed her mother respect and devotion. This influenced how Byer saw her childhood and why she never felt compelled to meet beauty standards.

Nicole Byer’s Personal Life

Byer has indicated that, while she does not identify as straight, she finds the label “queer” offensive. On her podcast Why Won’t You Date Me?, she has acknowledged that she is open to dating people of both genders and has dated both men and women in the past.

For the past two years, she has sat down with friends and colleagues comedians to discuss their love lives, and she recently hosted her 100th episode of one of the world’s funniest and most vulnerable podcasts.

Byer is currently 36 years old and has been single for decades despite being brilliant, witty, and sexually voracious, according to the podcast’s description. Her candor in this aspect lends a radical feel to the episode.

She is open about her want to be loved and is irritated by how difficult it is to find the right relationship. She speaks candidly from the trenches at a time when dating may be more difficult than ever.

Nicole told Jimmy Kimmel Live! about some of her worst COVID-19 pandemic dating nightmare stories, although she has already stated that she still searches and believes in true love.

Byer was born in New Jersey but moved to New York City in the early 2000s. She worked as a waiter in a nearby restaurant and cabaret club. She has stated that comedy assisted her in coping with the deaths of both of her parents. “It was a godsend that I discovered these things before they died, since it allowed me to flee,” she stated.
