Early Years
Byer was born in New Jersey but moved to New York City in the early 2000s. She worked as a waiter in a nearby restaurant and cabaret club. She has several roles on network television in 2016. It barely lasted one season before being scrapped. Soon after, it was picked up for a second season by Facebook Watch.
In December 2017, Byer launched a weekly podcast called Why Won’t You Date Me? on the HeadGum podcast network. In each episode, Byer discusses her few dates, sexual experiences, and how difficult it is for her to be single with a guest, who is generally another comic.
