Ruaridh McConnochie: Biography

Ruaridh McConnochie is a rugby union player for the men’s team. He was born on October 23, 1991.

He was a member of the team that competed in the Rugby sevens event at the 2016 Summer Olympics and won the silver medal.

In the beginning, he was a reserve player, but he eventually became a full England international and made his debut for the team in September 2019 against Italy at St. James’s Park.

Before enrolling at Hartpury College, McConnochie was a rugby player at the University of Gloucestershire. He also competed for Nuneaton RFC from 2012 to 2014, before moving on to play for Hartpury.

McConnochie made his debut for England Sevens at the 2015 Dubai 7’s while he was still a student at Hartpury.

This came after he had already competed for Great Britain Student 7’s and won the World University Sevens Championship while playing for them.

He is without a doubt the poorest rugby player out of the three McConnochies, but he has done quite well for himself to this point in his career.
