Viking Wolf (Netflix): Ending Explained

The character of Lars is the one who enlightens Liv on the existence of werewolves in the movie.

In later years, Liv is successful in locating and eliminating the werewolf that Lars had been pursuing for the better part of two years.

On the other hand, Liv and Willaim go to Lars for assistance after discovering evidence of the existence of a second werewolf.

The hunter explains that the werewolf is not a mystical creature like others believe it to be. In the distant past, in an effort to harness the power of animals, people engaged in scientific experimentation and interbred several species.

The story of Gudbrand the Grim, a Viking who unearthed a dog from Hell, is told to the audience in the opening crawl of the movie. It is assumed that when Lars talks about this creature, he is referring to the same one that is responsible for the werewolf curse.

Lars adds that in order to put an end to the mayhem that has been wreaked on the community, they need to destroy the creature’s lineage.

He reveals that it is possible that the second werewolf was infected by the first werewolf that Liv killed while they were on the hunt. While everything is going on, Thale goes through a complete metamorphosis on the night of the full moon while he is hanging out with Jonas.

However, she is revealed to be the second werewolf after she is responsible for Jonas’s death. When Thale attempted to save Elin, she became infected with lycanthropy.

Following her transformation into a werewolf, Thale makes an effort to keep her distance from other people. She rides a bus, but after her metamorphosis is triggered, she begins attacking other passengers.

When Thale eventually makes it back to her house, she runs across Jenny while she is still in her werewolf state. However, because Thale is aware that Jenny is her sister, she is unable to kill her.

As a consequence of this, Arthur uses an electric current to subdue the werewolf, which paves the way for him and Jenny to go away. As a consequence of this, the movie offers a fresh take on the traditional tale of the werewolf.

Romance is a crucial component of a story about werewolves; yet, in this particular situation, Thale’s relationship with Jonas is never strong enough to anchor her when she is transforming into a werewolf.

However, Thale and Jenny have a close relationship, and Thale’s affection for Jenny has not diminished despite Jenny’s transformation into a monster. Jenny is like a sister to Thale.

Viking Wolf (Netflix): Who Is Lars Brodin?

The body of Elin Gran was located, and despite the fact that it appeared as though she had been attacked by a predator, the abrasions on her body were so severe that the medical professional was unable to determine what kind of animal had attacked her.

Because the forensic pathologist considered that the experts at the Norwegian school of veterinary sciences would be better able to determine whether or not it was a wolf or something else, she requested that Liv get in touch with a member of the school.

One day, completely out of the blue, a person by the name of Lars Brodin showed up at the police station and asked to speak with Liv.

He explained to her that the beast that had attacked and killed Elin was a lycanthrope, a type of werewolf that he had spent his entire life trying to track down and kill.

Lars shared with Liv that the only way to kill the wolf was with a unique kind of bullet that was crafted out of silver.

When William examined the body of the dead wolf, he made the startling discovery that the standard lead bullets did not inflict any damage on the animal.

However, the one silver bullet that Liv had been given by Lars Brodin triggered a peculiar chemical reaction, which ultimately resulted in the animal’s demise.

After Liv realized that Lars Brodin was in fact telling the truth, she and William decided to meet up with him once more.

They were welcomed into Lars’ caravan, and he shared all the information he had learned about the beast with them.

According to Norse mythology, Loki and the giantess Angrboda were the parents of a child who later became known as the Fenris wolf (also spelled Fenrir).

It was thought that the gods could not exercise any influence over Fenris, and it required a significant amount of work to bind him with the help of magical abilities.

Lars informed them that the predator was always motivated by a need for human blood, and he wanted them to be aware of the chance that the werewolf could infect another human being.

Viking Wolf (Netflix): Does Liv kill Thale?

In the meantime, Liv, who is now aware of her child’s drastic transformation, has second thoughts about killing her and instead opts to sedate her with a sedative. Because the tranquilizer is ineffective, Liv, Jenny, and the person who specializes in animals are forced to take cover.

Lars makes an unexpected appearance in a truck and drives himself into the store where Liv and the others were sheltering, which results in the veteran werewolf hunter being hurt and eventually being consumed by Thale.

The motivation for Lars’s actions is unknown. After some time has passed, Jenny decides to fire another tranquilizer arrow on her wolf-sister, and this time the beast is rendered comatose.

We don’t see Liv again until the very end, when she walks into the chamber where wolf-Thale is still comatose and bound to the table. She makes the extremely painful choice to have her own kid put to sleep.

In the closing scene, Thale’s mother, who has since lost her husband, enters her daughter’s bedroom and places the silver bullet that was used to kill her on the bedside.

Viking Wolf (Netflix): Who Dies In The Movie?

Thale’s killing spree on the bus and around the town results in the deaths of a large number of people who have not been identified.

There are also other bodies in the woods that have not been recognized that are believed to be from the original werewolf.

The film’s action begins with the murder of a young woman named Elin by the first werewolf, which sets the stage for the subsequent murder of Jonas by Thale.

It appears as though the werewolf hunter, Lars, and the sheriff both passed away as well (someone seeing the sheriff’s werewolf bite turns off the life support machine at the hospital).

During the conflict with Thale, Arthur is also injured, suffering either a bite or a scrape. Will Arthur undergo the same transformation as the rest of the pack?

Viking Wolf (Netflix): Is Thale Alive Or Not?

As soon as the bus enters the Nybo tunnel, Thale reverts to his previous shape and begins killing the passengers. Liv is given the responsibility of conducting the investigation, and William also arrives at the scene.

While the veterinarian is explaining to Liv about human DNA, she searches the wreckage of the bus and finds Thale’s watch. She has arrived at the conclusion that the wolf is indeed her daughter. In another part of the story, Lars kills the sheriff inside the hospital while he himself is being bitten by the vampires.

Jenny is about to come under attack by Thale as she arrives at her residence in her wolf form.

The fact that the beast is confronted by her sister causes her to freeze in her tracks. Arthur uses a lamp to strike the wolf, and he and Jenny make their escape.

They are being pursued by the beast, and it is then discovered that Arthur is hurt.

He has lost a significant amount of blood, and as a result, he wrecks the automobile right next to a pub that is packed with people. When Thale arrived, he immediately began killing everyone that he could see.

Lars appears in order to put an end to the curse, but Thale is able to overcome him as well. Jenny’s life is spared thanks to Liv and William’s timely arrival, which prevents her from being consumed. They engage in combat with the wolf, only to find themselves surrounded.

Jenny comes to the rescue and uses a tranquilizer dart to subdue her sister when she is in her beast form. The following day, Liv approaches the comatose wolf that was once her daughter and offers her apologies before getting ready to shoot it with a silver bullet.

The scene shifts, and we now see Liv in the car on her way back home. She then enters her room where she positions the silver bullet in front of the picture of Thale. The movie comes to an abrupt close, leaving the question of whether or not Liv shot the wolf unanswered.
