Pickens is a wide receiver. It would appear that they have been trying for some time now to move on with their lives and it appears that they have been successful.

“Added background: From what I am hearing, and have been hearing for the past week, the #Steelers have moved on from what they felt was somewhat of a ‘distraction’ behind the scenes. This is according to what I am hearing, and what I have been hearing over the past week. According to a league insider, the potential trade involving Claypool has been considered “for at least two weeks already.”

Despite the fact that Claypool was an important part of the club’s success while he was playing, it’s possible that his presence was seen as a “distraction” by the rest of the team. It’s possible that this was the thing that pushed them over the over and into moving on with their lives.
