About Indo-Tibetan Border Police

The ITBP Force India is a border security and anti-Naxal force. ITBP Force India is one of the five Central Armed Police Forces in India under the direct control of the Home Ministry, Government of India.

It was raised on 24 October 1962 by an executive order to protect Indian interests along its northern borders during the Sino-Indian War of 1962. ITBP Force India has been known to be one of India’s best and highly disciplined Central Armed Police Forces, along with other countries participating in Rio Olympics 2016.

ITBP Exam is conducted for recruitment into ITBP Force India every year on a very large scale across various states to recruit dedicated applicants who can serve the Indian nation and its people in ITBP Force India.

ITBP Exam Pattern for Tradesman Trade

General Awareness/General knowledge: Sports, History, Indian Culture, Geography, Economy, General Polity, Indian Constitution, Scientific Research, etc.

Numerical Ability: Number Systems, Computation of Whole Numbers,     Decimals and Fractions & relationship between Numbers, Fundamental arithmetical operations, Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Averages, Interest,     Profit and Loss, Discount, Mensuration, Time and Distance, Ratio and Time,    Time and Work, etc.

English/ Hindi: Synonyms, Antonyms, Sentence Error, Sentence correction, fill in the blanks, Comprehension & Cloze Test, etc.

General Intelligence/Reasoning Ability:

Analytical aptitude, Verbal and Non-verbal type, Analogies, Similarities and Differences, Problem-solving, Relationship, Arithmetical computation, Other analytical functions, Venn diagrams, Relationship concepts, Observe and distinguish patterns etc.

General Knowledge: Abbreviations, Awards and Honors, Books and Authors, Budget and Five Year Plans, Capitals of India, Countries and Capitals, Current Affairs – National and International, General Policy, Important Days, Indian Economy, Indian History, Indian National Movement, International and National Organizations, Science – Inventions & Discoveries, Science and Technology, and Sports.

General Hindi: वर्तनी की सामान्य अशुद्धियाँ तथा शब्दों के शब्द रूप शब्दों के स्त्रीलिंग, बहुवचन, किसी वाक्य को अन्य लिंग में परिवर्तन, मुहावरा व उनका अर्थ, अशुद्ध वाक्यों के शुद्ध रूप, विलोमार्थी शब्द, समानार्थी व पर्यायवाची शब्द, अनेक शब्दों के लिए एक शब्द, कहावतें व लोकोक्तियां के अर्थ, संधि विच्छेद, क्रिया से भाववाचक संज्ञा बनाना, रचना एवं रचयिता इत्यादि|

Trade-Related Theory: Classical Trade: Technology, Economic integration, Factor abundance, Factor prices & production, Heterogeneous firms, Imperfect competition, Intra-industry trade, Production Structure, Stylized facts on trade & the gravity Model, and Trade policy.

Note: Candidates must note that the ITBP SI exam pattern is the same as constable expect for the fact that the topics will be advanced level.

Points to Note regarding ITBP Exam:

  • Based on trade tests and written examinations, the ultimate list and results will be determined.
  • The marks obtained by a student in the written test will have a 60% weighting, while those from the Trade Test will have a 40% weighting when calculating combined marks.
  • If passed candidates fail to submit their asked documents, their candidature will be cancelled.
