10,000 more seats will be added by 2017: NEET medical-seats-NEET-2017

The state Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Faggan Singh Kulaste said 10,000 more seats will be added by 2017. Efficient services are being made available to public with the use of IT. The official notification of NEET PG will be released by National Board of Examinations today, i.e. September 24 at 5 pm. The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test is regulated by the Central Board of Secondary Education. The exam for post graduate courses is scheduled to be organized between December 5 and 13, while Dental courses are slated for November 30 in 86 cities across 41 cities.

Government role must be that of facilitator: HRD Minister said at IISER

Union HRD Minister Prakash Javedkar has yet again made an announcement regarding giving more autonomy to research institutes of the nation.  He said that the research institutes will be getting more autonomy for making Make in India campaign a success. During the interaction with students, minister also received feedback on improving the performance of these institutions. While speaking about the funds crisis happening in Punjab University, Javadekar said as early as possible he talks to the vice-chancellor of the versity so as to resolve the problem soon. He minister said, “Like other research institutes, the government will initiate Prime Minister’s Scholarship under which the students will be given approx Rs 3.25 lakh for the first time in the IISERs. As many as 1800 students from Jammu and Kashmir who are studying in several researches and engineering institutes have enrolled under the scheme.

 DSCI: Indian security body opens first global chapter

The Data Security Council of India (DSCI), a premier body on cyber security, on Saturday launched its first global chapter in Singapore. Cyber security is a global matter and requires attention of all stakeholders. It is essential that countries become partners to address this matter collaboratively,” said Vijay Thakur Singh, high commissioner to Singapore.The Singapore chapter will help the society bridge cyber security skills gap between India and Singapore and explore opportunities for expanding niche capabilities in cyber security product space. We are working with governments across the globe to charter the way forward to address the matter in the cyberspace, including the cross border data flows, internet governance, privacy and others,” noted Rama Vedashree, CEO, DSCI.
