Formerly M.S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology (MSRIT), RIT is an autonomous private engineering college in Bangalore, Karnataka. The college is affiliated to the Visvesvaraya Technological University with its headquarters at Belgaum, Karnataka, India. It was established in 1962 and became academically autonomous for both Undergraduate and Postgraduate Programs in 2007. Rashtreeya Vidyalaya College of Engineering is also known as RVCE or R.V. College of Engineering, Rāshtrīya Vidyālaya Tāntrika Mahāvidyālaya. RVCE follows the credit-based system of performance evaluation, with proportional weighting of courses based on their importance. The total marks (usually out of 100) form the basis of grades, with a grade value (out of 10) assigned to a range of marks. B.M.S. College of Engineering (BMSCE) is an autonomous engineering college in Basavanagudi, Bangalore, India. It is one of the top Engineering college in Bangalore, India. The college was founded in 1946 by B. M. Sreenivasaiah and it was the first private sector initiative in technical education in India. The college is run by the BMS Educational Trust. It was affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University from 1998 to 2008, and became autonomous in 2008.
