Bellinger was a four-year varsity volleyball letterman. She also received a scholarship to play college volleyball at Vanguard University in Costa Mesa, California, where she started for two seasons.

He attended Hamilton High School in Chandler and was a member of the Chandler, Arizona Little League World Series squad in 2007. In 2013, he was also named to the Rawlings-Perfect Game 2nd Squad All-American team.
