She is the mother and coach of Owen Pallister, as well as the mother and coach of Lani Pallister, an Australian competitive swimmer and lifesaving athlete.

Rick Pallister (Janelle Elford Husband) Is A Surfer

Janelle Elford’s husband, Rick Pallister, is a retired police sergeant stationed at Cronulla Police Station. Rick is also a former surfer and triathlete from Australia.

He began surfing in the early 1980s while working as a cop. He was a member of The Cronulla Triathlon Club, according to Cronullatriclub, and his name has also been listed as the surfer and Australian Champion in 1983.

Getty Images also shared a photo of him while on duty, posing with a VH Holden Commodore patrol car in Croydon Street outside Cronulla Police Station. On the same day in November 1983, he was spotted surfing at Elouera Beach.

Pallister also competed in the 2016 Australian Masters, where he added another gold medal to his collection. He won the 150th Anniversary Surf Teams Final at Maroochydore with Grant Kenny and Russell Cooper.

His most recent carnival was at the Australian Open 2019, where his squad competed in the U19 Female Surf Belt, according to the SLS results.

Janelle and Rick Have A Small Family With Two Children

Lani Pallister and Owen Pallister are the Pallisters’ two grown children. They have been following in their footsteps since they were children.

The couple had their first child, Owen, in March 2001, and their daughter Lani was born a year later, on June 6, 2002.

Janelle’s son Owen graduated from Maroochydore State High School and, at the age of 16, he rescued Raiders forward Iosia Soliola from a rogue wave on the Sunshine Coast. According to the Daily Mail, after the successful rescue, Owen and Soliola posed for a photo on the beach.

Lani, like her father, won her first Australian Surf Life Saving title in 2016. She also holds several world records in youth life-saving.

Rick Pallister (Father) and Janelle Elford gave birth to Lani Pallister on June 6, 2022. (Mother). Her father is a surfing legend, and her mother is a former Australian swimming champion.

Her mother was a gold medalist at the Commonwealth Games in 1990 and a swimmer at the Summer Olympics in 1998. Lani learned to swim from her mother.

Career Life Of Lani Pallister

Pallister competed in the 2017 FINA World Junior Swimming Championships in Indianapolis, Indiana, in August, finishing eighth in the 1500-metre freestyle with a time of 16:32.59 and tenth in the 800-metre freestyle with a time of 8:39.86.

She, then 16, set a new world record in the 100-metre rescue medley with a time of 1:12.14 at the 2018 National Pool Championships in Adelaide in August, breaking the previous record by more than three tenths of a second.

Pallister won gold medals in the 1500-metre freestyle, 800-metre freestyle, and 400-metre freestyle at the 2018 Junior Pan Pacific Swimming Championships in Suva, Fiji, in August, as well as silver medals in the 4200-metre freestyle relay and the 200-metre freestyle.

In the 1500-meter freestyle, her time of 16:08.09 set a new Championships record. She also took silver in the 4100-meter freestyle relay, bringing her total medal count for the Championships to six.

Pallister returned to Adelaide following her success at the Junior Pan Pacific Championships to compete in the 2018 World Lifesaving Championships in November, where she helped Team Australia win the world title.

She also set a new world record in the 100-metre rescue medley, clocking in at 1:10.21, nearly two seconds faster than the previous record she set in August.
