When the Chrisley family first appeared on the reality scene in 2014 with USA Network’s “Chrisley Knows Best”.
They were the Southern-blond response to the Kardashian family: rich and exceedingly close-knit, with a dollop of “bless your heart” attitude.
Todd Chrisley, the flashy, domineering, yet endearing patriarch of the Chrisley family, boasted about the money he reportedly gained in real estate in an early promotional clip for the show.
He was quick to point out that he and his wife Julie, along with their three children, Chase, Savannah, and Grayson, who are now the ages of 26, 25, and 16 respectively, and Todd’s children from a previous marriage, Lindsie, who is now 33, and Kyle, who is now 31, lived in a gated community outside of Atlanta.

Why Did Todd And Julie Chrisley Get Arrested?
After federal prosecutors claimed that Todd and Julie were participants in a massive bank fraud scheme and hid their wealth from tax authorities while showing off their opulent lifestyle, the court found them guilty in June of 2022 and handed them a sentence of imprisonment.
During the proceedings of their trial, the prosecution claimed that the couple had obtained more than $30 million in fraudulent loans by depositing phony documents at banks.
On the other hand, when they were unable to make their payments, they filed for bankruptcy.
In addition to the two individuals, the couple’s accountant, Peter Tarantino, was also found guilty. According to the Department of Justice, he was accused of one count of conspiracy to defraud the government and two counts of knowingly filing false tax returns. These charges were brought against him.
Even though they were broke, the prosecutors claimed that Todd and Julie created their reality television show in order to “flaunt their money and lifestyle to the American public.” They also kept the millions of dollars earned by the show a secret from the Internal Revenue Service.
Additionally, the prosecution asserted that Todd and Julie encouraged their friends to lie under oath and gave the jury papers that contained erroneous information.
After the verdict was handed down, the attorneys representing Julie contended in a court document that their client had just a minor involvement in the tax fraud case, and that the proper term for her would be probation with special conditions rather than time spent in jail.
The two people are adamant that they did nothing wrong and are contesting their convictions in court.
The Chrisley family shot to prominence after appearing in the reality television show Chrisley Knows Best, which debuted on the USA Network in 2014. They made an appearance on the show together with their children Chase, Savannah, and Grayson.
