Tatiana was born in the Soviet Union and later relocated to the United Kingdom after marrying Ben. They now live in Leicester, England, with their two children.

They celebrated their tenth anniversary on December 31, 2019. Ben stated that being with Tatiana had changed his life. According to the post, they married after dating for two years.

Tatiana Woollaston has been a professional snooker referee since 2008.

Her husband dropped her off in Sheffield for her first match as an official in the Betfred World Snooker Championship and wished her luck.

She recently worked as an official at the UK Championships. She thanked York profusely for the opportunities and for another amazing championship.

Tatiana is also well-educated, holding a master’s degree in economics. She earned a bachelor’s degree in finance, banking, and credit from Belarus State Economic University. Before going to the UK, she worked as a teacher at Belarus State Economic University in Minsk, in addition to her refereeing career.

Woollaston, who was born in Leicester, England, began his professional career on the Challenge Tour in 2003, which was the second-level professional tour at the time.

He first appeared on the Main Tour in 2004-05, but was unable to keep his spot the following year. Also, he reclaimed his spot for the 2006-07 season by winning the European Under-19 Championship.

He was given a concessionary spot on the 2007-08 circuit. Woollaston reached the Grand Prix final group stages twice, in 2006 and 2007, with a significantly stronger tournament in 2006, winning two matches compared to none in 2007.

He also reached the finals of the 2007 Welsh Open, defeating David Gray to go to the second round, where he was defeated 2-5 by seven-time World Champion Stephen Hendry.

2014

Woollaston was eliminated in the second round of the 2014 Wuxi Classic by Judd Trump, 5-3, and subsequently failed to qualify for the next two ranking events. He led Ronnie O’Sullivan 2-0 and 3-1 in the first round of the International Championship, but lost 6-4. Woollaston was defeated 6-2 by the five-time world champion in the third round of the UK Championship, and he later described his performance as disgraceful.

A week later, at the Lisbon Open, he made his first maximum break of his career against Joe Steele, but fell 4-3 to Peter Ebdon in the next round. Woollaston won Championship League group 6 by defeating Ebdon 3-0 and advanced to the winners’ group semi-finals, where he was defeated 3-2 by Mark Davis.

2013

Woollaston qualified for five ranking events during the 2013-14 season, the most he has ever done in a single season. He defeated Chen Zhe and Joel Walker 5-2 at the Wuxi Classic before falling 5-2 to Cao Yupeng in the last 16. Woollaston was knocked out of the Australian Goldfields Open, the International Championship, and the German Masters in the first round. He defeated Vinnie Calabrese and Alfie Burden with only one frame loss to advance to the last 32 of the Welsh Open, where he came close to defeating Ding Junhui but lost 4-3.

Woollaston defeated defending world champion Ronnie O’Sullivan 4-3 in the Ruhr Open, then whitewashed Burden and Chris Norbury 4-0 before losing in a last frame decider against Stephen Maguire in the quarter-finals. He advanced to the quarterfinals of the Antwerp Open by defeating Walker, but O’Sullivan defeated Woollaston 4-2 in the semi-finals. These results helped him place 20th on the Order of Merit, allowing him to compete in the Finals for the third year in a row.

Woollaston defeated Ding, a four-time tour winner this season, 4-3 after falling behind 3-0 to reach the last 16 of a ranking tournament for the second time this season, when he was ousted 4-2 by John Higgins.

2012

In the 2012-13 season, Woollaston failed to qualify for nine of the eleven ranking events. He did significantly better in the lesser ranking PTC events, finishing 10th on the Order of Merit despite being a losing quarter-finalist in four of the ten tournaments. This qualified him for the Finals, where he overcame Mark Williams and Joe Perry 4-3 to reach his first ranking event quarter-final. He faced Kurt Maflin and was defeated by a score of 4-3.

Woollaston maintained his form heading into the World Championship Qualifiers by defeating Thailand’s Thepchaiya Un-Nooh 10-3 in the third round to face Ryan Day, falling just one match shy of making the tournament’s main draw for the first time. Woollaston edged the match 10-9 with a crucial break of 64 in the deciding frame and declared that he wanted to encounter incumbent champion Ronnie O’Sullivan in the first round because he believed he now had nothing to lose. He was drawn against previous year’s runner-up Ali Carter, and after leading 3-1 and 4-3, Woollaston lost seven frames in a row to quit the event, later admitting that he battled to maintain his confidence and attention during the match. During the season, he moved ten spots in the rankings to world number 33, his highest standing to date.

2011

Woollaston’s first professional championship came in the 2011-12 season, when he won Event 3 of the Players Tour Championship. In the final, he defeated former World Champion Graeme Dott 4-2. His efforts in the remaining 11 PTCs, including a quarter-final run in Event 8, earned him ninth spot in the Order of Merit and so qualification for the 2012 Finals.

It was his first appearance in the main stages of a ranking event since 2007. He fell 2-4 against Ding Junhui in the first round. Woollaston qualified for the 2012 China Open by winning three qualification matches, the last of which he won 5-4 over Ryan Day. He faced Ding again in the opening round of the event and appeared to be on track for a shock victory, leading 4-0 at the break in the best-of-nine frame match. Ding, on the other hand, recovered his form and won 5 consecutive frames to win the match 5-4.

His season ended with a 3-10 loss against Dominic Dale in the final qualifying round for the World Championship, and he finished ranked world number 43, the most of anyone on the tour.
