According to sources, Anthony was shot at an apartment complex in Henrico, a Richmond suburb. The incident happened shortly after 4 p.m. on Wistar Village Drive in the 7600 block.

When authorities arrived on the scene, Anthony was found with suspected gunshot wounds and declared dead.

Because his brother died, the NFL athlete missed his Wednesday practise to mourn his loss.

Anthony, his brother Montez, and their older sister Vetta were raised by their grandparents since they were children.

Sweat attended Stephenson High School in Stone Mountain, Georgia, and was regarded as one of the country’s greatest tight ends. Sweat committed to play collegiate football at Michigan State, where he appeared in two games and recorded one sack before redshirting in 2015. He left Michigan State in 2016 to attend Copiah-Lincoln Community College in Mississippi, where he also played football.

After selecting Dwayne Haskins with their first-round choice, the team moved back up into the first round to get him. On May 29, 2019, he signed a four-year rookie deal.
