Upon the discovery of the two victims, who had been savagely stabbed to death in their house, the authorities quickly determined that Angelique’s fiance, David Hoshaw, was involved in the crime.

Who are Naomi Hoshaw and Alison Ashcroft?
David Hoshaw had supposedly been married to Naomi Hoshaw, with whom he had two kids named Brandon and Jonathan, prior to his meeting with Angelique Goyena. During this time, David Hoshaw did not have Angelique Goyena.
In spite of this, the marriage was dissolved when it was reported that he began assaulting Naomi and kept all of his financial information from her.
Eventually, David was married to Alison Marie Ashcroft, but even that union didn’t last since he engaged in equally destructive conduct when they had children. In spite of the fact that he was divorced, he continued to stay in touch with his sons and was active in their lives.
David Hoshaw: Dating Life
David first met Angelique online in 2006 and immediately fell in love with her; he made his proposal to her six months later and then moved in with her, her mother, and their home in Norfolk once they accepted it. When he started seeing Amanda behind her fiancée’s back in 2007, things took an unforeseen turn for the worst.
At the time, he was still engaged to his then-fiancée. Angelique, on the other hand, was uninformed of David’s affair and was occupied with the arrangements of their wedding; nevertheless, she did note that David was becoming increasingly aloof.
In the end, the latter devised a dastardly scheme to get rid of his fiancee and move in with Amanda on a permanent basis. On the evening of June 30, 2006, David stabbed Angelique and Vonda to death before fleeing the scene.
Yet when David was questioned by the police later, he stated that he had spent the previous week at a Boy Scouts camp with his son, who is 12 years old. Strangely, after the police verified his alibi and released him from custody, he promptly departed Norfolk and moved into Amanda’s house in Menominee, which is located in the state of Michigan.
On top of that, David sent two letters to the police from mailboxes in Chicago and Michigan, in which he stated that he had slain Angelique and Vonda in order to avenge the fact that Angelique had rejected him.
Vonda was also mentioned in the letters. In addition to that, he made fun of the detectives’ incapacity to get a hold of him and boasted about the wrongdoings he had committed.
As the investigation into the identity of the murderer continued, the police began to have doubts about David’s story and began looking into him.
They uncovered his aggressive behavior with his exes, Naomi and Alison, as well as the fact that his phone records and credit card receipts led to his being the one who wrote the letters. In June of 2009, David was apprehended and indicted for the crime of capital murder on the basis of this circumstantial evidence.
Soon after, he admitted his involvement to Amanda when being questioned by the police and subsequently entered a guilty plea to two counts of first-degree murder. David was sentenced to two consecutive terms of life in prison without the possibility of parole in October of 2010.

Alison Ashcroft and Naomi Hoshaw: Where Are They Now?
Both Naomi Hoshaw and Alison Ashcroft endured a great deal of pain throughout their marriages to David, but they were taken aback by the breadth of his depravity when they became aware of his later transgressions.
Despite this, they came to the conclusion that they should cut off all ties with him and instead seek solace in one another as friends.
According to recent sources, both Naomi and Alison currently call Newport News, Virginia, home. They continue to be loyal supporters of one another and are good friends.
In addition to this, one of Naomi’s sons serves in the United States Marine Corps, while the other son is a well-known author. She is said to be employed at the Disabled American Veterans Thrift Store, according to the reports.
On the other hand, Alison does not share details about her private life on social media platforms, despite the fact that she appears to be doing rather well for herself. In the show, both ladies have been candid about their previous relationships with David in the hopes that others may learn from their experiences and see the warning signals of abuse.
