30th Surajkund International Crafts Mela Held at Faridabad
- The 30th Surajkund International Crafts Mela-2016 Celebrated at Surajkund, Faridabad from February 1 to 15, 2016. The State of Telangana has been chosen to be the Theme State. At least 20 countries & all the States of India will be participating in the Mela. .
- The Mela is organised by the Surajkund Mela Authority & Haryana Tourism in collaboration with Union Ministries of Tourism, Textiles, Culture and External Affairs.
- In 2013, the fair was upgraded to an international level and in 2015, a record number of 20 countries participated in the Mela and Lebanon was the Partner Nation and Chhattisgarh, the Theme State. In 2014, over 15 countries from European & African continents participated in the Mela including SAARC nations.
Maharashtra Announced Babasaheb Special Group Incentives Scheme
- Maharashtra government has annoynced Bharatratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Special Collective Incentive Scheme on February 2, 2016 for the economically backward Dalit entrepreneurs. The decision was taken at a State Cabinet meeting, chaired by Chief Minister DevendraTadnavis.
- Under ibis scheme, special facilities would be given to Dalit entrepreneurs besides the present Collective Incentive Scheme 2013. 20% plots for smaH and medium scale industries with Maharashtfa Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) will be reserved for the Dalits, The plots in MIDC area will be made available at 30% concession in rate whereas plots in other areas will be available at 20% concession, he scheme will be limited for only those industries yvhere people frofn Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes have 100% Investment.

Bihar Budget 2016-17
- Bihar Finance Minister Abdul Bari Siddiqui presented total Rs 1 lakh 44 thousand 696 crore for 2016-17. This budget was for the first time introduced by the grand alliance.
- Bihar State Budget 2016-17 is as follows As per the student credit card after the XII every aspiring student loans up to Rs 4 lakh would be given by the banks and the banks will be guaranteed by the government.
- 20 to 25 year old unemployed youth to find assistance at the rate of a thousand a month for two years. It will be self-support allowance.
- Tub wells and Drinking water problems will solve in the next five years.
- Youth entrepreneurial development and start-up capital for the venture capital fund will be five hundred crore. It will help the youth.
- Arrangement of electricity in all villages will be in the next two years.
- Nursing colleges will be established in every medical college.
- ANM schools and ITI training centers will be opened throughout the State.
- Each and every education centre will have Wi-Fi connections.
- 35% reservation for women in all state government jobs will be given.-
- Street and sewer will be constructed in all villages and towns.
- An Agricultural University will be opened in Kishanganj.
- 31183 thousand kilometers of rural roads will be built in the next five years.
